SYLVANIA ZEVO 1156 White LED Bulb, (Contains 2 Bulbs)

I didn’t do a side by side, but I’d say they’re on par or maybe slightly brighter than the incandescent they replaced. If you’re looking to go LED don’t make the mistake I did, go straight for the zevo line. I originally bought a sylvania bulb, they were round. They were ok. Decided to try the zevo and ordered one as a test, woah. Night and day difference. Much better designed for a reflector housing. They really fill in the whole housing unlike the old round bulb that just kinda made some light. Mind you the round bulb had 6 sets of 3 LED chips! Ordered a second set for the front. Was a little skeptical being these are a single LED chip each side but they have a nice beefy metal heat sink. So long they stay cool they should last no problem. To review the 1157 red bulbs, also very good bulbs. Same setup as the 1156 amber but in red and will do stop/tail. I originally bought Phillips ultinon and boy was I disappointed. They did ok but were noticeably dimmer, especially pronounced side by side to the incandescent they were replacing. Do not bother trying other brands, until they get on the level of the Zevo line by sylvania, spend the money and get the Zevo. I’ve heard the non Zevo of the same style by sylvania are essentially the same however they don’t use a metal heat sink. LED bulbs can run hot and when they do they will not last. These are nice and bright even in direct sunlight. I should have spent the money the first time, instead I spent more than double in the end buying another bulb first.

This is for my late model Kia Optima people 2013 in particular. I purchased 1156A(amber) for my rear turn signals. Amazon suggested they are not compatible but they were. 1156A for the rear and 1157A for that front. Great brand and product interesting design. Great color for such a a small led. I would agree it's brightness is similar to incandescent amber bulbs. However the paint won't chip over time. Like mine did that's the main reason for switch to Led. Also the color is much better on the Zevo bulbs. Maybe 20% brighter if I had to guess. As far as the price it's cheaper on here at the moment then purchasing at a parts store. One last thing I did need to buy resisters.to stop the hyper flashing. My vehicle didn't have a relay I can switch which would have been nice.

I installed these LED Lights in to an L-5030 Kubota Tractor and in to a 2008 Ford F-350. They are a substantial upgrade in brightness but are not as good or as bright as I was hoping for. I would say they come close to doubling the brightness, down road. They are much easier to see when approaching in a vehicle. These lights being brighter are also safer for day and night travel on the road. I also installed LED front Headlights, Rear Brake Lights and Flashers on both. Again they are brighter, but not as bright as i wanted, again with more visibility, the tractor and the truck overall are SAFER to Drive on the Road!!! I also installed an Overhead LED light to the Roll Bar, and between the two new LED Lights, I now have excellent viability at night. Longevity is TBD. August 2020. I wish these were made in the USA. Yes, I would buy these again.

These LED lights are supposed to fit a 2013 Toyota 4runner, however, the parking lamp did not work and they gave a hyper flash even with resistors installed.

these lights are really cool, they are bright and make a noticeable improvement and they look great. one thing I have noticed is that if your vehicle is newer with canbus systems, you may or may not have a smooth install. with that being said, my bmw is a 07 and they can be fickle at best, that's why I prepared and did the research first, by programming the light module to not read a continuity test and voltage test my full conversion of full tail and turns work like a charm. theses led's are well worth the money and I feel putting money into a name brand is a safe be than the questionable low cost options. go with what you know.

Bulbs are not compatible with a 2016 Hyundai Tucson to replace rear signal lights. . They technically "fit" in the socket and even "work", but the onboard computer see them as defective and issue warnings. Probably a voltage issue. I had to go back to regular non led bulbs.

I just bought these Zevo 1156 bulbs for the daytime running lamps (DRL) on my car. They are very high-quality, and produce a pure white light. I have had a few different LED DRL bulbs in the past, and the Sylvania ones fill the lenses much better, almost as well as stock incandescents. These bulbs are not very bright, but since they are used as DRLs, who cares. In fact, it may be better this way so not to annoy other drivers. Polarity-wise they are normal polarity, so if your car's sockets are reverse polarity, you must re-pin the connector. _______________ Edit: They've been in service close to 2 years and still kicking. No shorting, melting, or flicking yet (knock on wood). Quite impressive considering they are on all day long, even through the -30°C winters. _______________ Edit: They've been in service for 5 years and are still bright. During the day, they are on all the time. At night, they get burnt brutally by the xenon headlights right next to them without a heatshield. Sylvania has surprised me with the reliability of their Zevo LEDs.
