Review: Solid & seems well built - Haven't used it hard, but it seems well built and comes in handy when only a Big Freaking Hammer will get the job done. Review: A nice occasional use 4 Lb Hammer with a varnished wooden handle - Its a 4Lb sledge hammer with a nice wooden handle. I have small hands, so the handle is a bit big, and very slick with the varnish it ships with. I fixed that pretty quickly with a bit of sandpaper :) I am using this as a weight for Physical Therapy, so haven't actually hit anything with it, nor am I planning to. I might question the durability of the attachment between the handle and the head as it appears to rely on a lot of resin to fill any gaps in what should be an interference fit :( For some casual smashing of big things into smaller things, it should work just fine. I would rate this as home user occasional usage, Its not professional quality, but then at this price, your getting what you pay for.
