I love it!
This thing is awesome, a real eye catcher and it writes beautiful at the same time. The only thing, don't shove the 'bullet' all the way down. I fidget a bit and did this, only to find the tip a bit gooey the next day, it seems to put pressure on the ball allowing ink to ooze. I do wish the pen back was copper, I think it would look better. For those wondering, it's a real cartridge, with a sleeve inserted to hold the pen. It's 2mm off the length of a real one, they had to fit the ink cartridge though, right?

Pen made from real 338 cartridge is sure to start conversations
This is a real Fisher space pen that contains a thixotropic ink cartridge allowing writing at any angle, on many even slick surfaces, and even under water. The included cartridge is medium point black. The pen is actually the, "bullet," part that pulls out of the cartridge and flips end-for-end to write or store. Fisher ink refills are available in various widths and colors.Visually this 338 pen looks very much like a real round to members of the public and will almost certainly get stares and comments when pulled out of a pocket to do some writing. It would be a good idea not to carry the 338 pen into areas where having ammunition is prohibited or you might have to do a lot of explaining to an over zealous security official. The shell casing is an actual cartridge (inert, nor live), and the projectile portion is the brass pen body. The 338 pen would make a great conversation piece if you are looking for a modestly priced gift for a shooting enthusiast or perhaps a person with a military background.

Great Space Pen quality in .338 Lapua Magnum brass
Really awesome pen, actual .338 Lapua brass with and inert primer installed. This is the round the US Military choose to close the gap in capability between the .308 and .50 Cal marksman rifles. The o-ring that holds the pen in place is a touch small.

Unique
Great unique birthday present for my husband. He is very happy with it and he’s picky about gifts!

Love it
Love this. A solid, beautiful and heavier (than the .375) pen which contributes to less weakening of the hand in that you do not need to grip/press down as hard when writing. Careful you do not poke yourself with the end of it!

Fisher Space Pen .338 cartridge
This pen is a pretty nice novelty. When I saw them I purchased both the .338 cartridge pen and the .375 bullet space pen. I've always like Fisher's pressurized ink cartridges so these pens were a must buy for my pen collection. I like these pens so much that I am already planning on purchasing more for others as gifts. Comparing the pens, I like the look of the .338 cartridge a little bit more than the .375 bullet but the .338 cartridge is slightly shorter than .375 bullet. All this means is that in my hands, which are average sized (I wear medium sized gloves from 180's), the .375 pen is more comfortable to write with when the cartridge is posted on the pen. Without using the cartridge, I find that using the pen for both is rather uncomfortable for writing as both are smaller than what is comfortable for me. I'll try to post a video review sometime in the near future.

Got it as a gift for my dad
I got it for my dad and he loves it. I'd highly recommend it to an age appropriate crowd. Being that the shell seems like real brass I wouldn't recommend it to children who may put it in their mouth. Brass contains lead.

Very cool. Writes like the other space pens that I've owned. Leaves your hands smelling of brass when you're done. Photos don't show the pen actually comes out of the shell, I expected this to be a twist-open style when the text states different sizes for open and closed rather than in shell and out of shell.
