Hope it's a fluke...
Edit My replacement has been standing strong with no issues. I love the bow and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again! The finger grip is coming undone after only a few days of use. Is has not been exposed to water or moisture. I am not sweaty. I do have major OCD tho and this is definitely a hard no. The unraveling is driving my brain nuts! Returning and replacing with the same item, hoping that it was just a dud or soemthing. The bow itself, I really enjoyed. Great tone and lightweight.

Clear sound, good quality, visually pleasing, great bow.
Great bow for what I use it for. Been a violin student for a couple years now and my teacher told me that my bow, which is almost 6 years old should either be rehaired or replaced. Being of a lesser quality, I decided to forgo the $80+ It would take to rehair it so I decided to replace it. So a little google search lead me to this bow. It IS GREAT! I Didnโt realize how much I needed a new bow. It has good balance, and crisp sound. For an intermediate students such as myself, I would highly recommend it.

EXTREMELY HAPPY...Recommend 6 Stars !
I have SO many bows that are going bald lol that I needed several new ones to clean bow house. I'm in hot Arizona, so wood bows can warp in the heat and never know when a bar or gig accident will happen - I need carbons. I saw this and the hair looked of interesting higher quality than the white ones so tried it. VERY HAPPY so far. The big deal of course is 'will the hair stay in the bow or start falling apart'. So far so good and very happy with the quality. IT WAS SHIPPED IN A FULL LENGTH OF PVC PIPE !!!! WOW that's pretty pro, industrial, quality shipping. Also came very well foam wrapped inside the PVC pipe with a surprise little plastic fish token.....not sure what that is about but its a very fun touch...vendor pride I guess. Also had an ID tag attached by string which is also a good touch. The frog also has a very high quality smooth silver inlay, not just a fish eye, bow weighs in at exactly 2.0 oz, and has metal wire wrap with sort of leather wrap at the frog. The hair seems to work great even with first rosin. I GIVE THIS BOW 6 STARS. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I play professionally acoustic and custom Zeta electric violins reverbnation.com/jorgeburrage. I plan to buy maybe 2 more plus the cheaper $35 version as backups. EXCELLENT !

don't buy it !!!
used it to start a tune and got about 4 strokes before the hair came out of the frog. save your money as this is a peace of CRAP !! it does look good but that is all. OK...it seems that the bow i got was a peach of crap, HOWEVER, the people at Vingo Musical inst. co stepted up to the plate and wanted to send me a new bow...i was an ass but the lady just kept after me and trying to solve the problem. well a new bow is on the way and we will see if it is a good as they tell me it is. i will finish this review after the new bow arrives and i have had a chance to see it used...stay tuned ! well here we are a month later and i have a very nice bow !! had some problems with shipping (still don't kn ow where one of them went) but a new bow arrived and i REALLY LIKE IT !!! nice balance and feels good to the touch. sits well on the strings. i could not have asked for a better outcome. sorry for my first review but i have had a lot of trouble with on line buying . this was a vary good experience. i will change to 4 stars for the bow and 8 stars for the service reps there in China. thanks again and i hope a lot of people read this review.

Love this!!
So Iโm just starting here playing the violin, but have a pretty good musical backgroundโฆ I was using a very old bow that came with my violin rental, so my teacher recommended a carbon fiber one, so I bought this oneโฆ in all honesty cuz it was SO pretty and different! Yet also because the reviews were saying it had a good sound and they werenโt wrong!! It sounds AMAZING!! Itโs like Iโm playing a completely different violin!! My teacher kept commenting about the sound as well through my lesson!! Plus it really IS beautiful!! I was a LITTLE worried when I received the package however because the box was crushed in the middle and the bow was only inside of a long sealed bubble envelope, which had no support for the bow inside (which I thought was weird), and it too was smashed in the middle!! So I thought the bow would for sure be broken! But seems fine!! ๐๐ป โฆ so I think if anything, I would recommend wrapping the bow better, especially with some type of cardboard support or something before putting it inside the box to ship!! But now itself is FABULOUS!!

First Impressions - made my violin sound 10x better
I had an old bow with only like 20-30 hairs left - it played but was torture to listen to. This black horse hair beauty once slathered up with some rosin turned my 60 dollar pawn shop Glaesel V130E4 2007 (1713 Stradivarius copy) into what feels like a far pricier piece of equipment. The deep tones are mellow and smooth, as well as the high pitch tones. The Glaesel model I have is notorious for being a low end student model in the 200-400 dollar range with a twangy sound (i got it for a steal). With this bow however, The previous twang is all but gone. I can't wait for my new synthetic Ascente strings to get here, and my new bridge, to couple with this awesome bow to hopefully optimize my little starter violin. Really good bow at good price
It costs me $50 locally to rehair a violin bow, so I just keep replacing them when they need new hair. I like the carbon fiber bows because they are more sturdy than wood and don't warp over time. This one sounds great on my student violin as well as on my very expensive violin, and I can tell no difference in sound quality or projection between this bow and the $350 carbon fiber bow I have. It projects better than the wood bow I have with no difference in sound quality. The black horse hair was an unknown for me, but it took rosin just fine (and it was easy to see where it needed more), and works well. Will definitely buy again when this one needs a rehair.

Thin, slippery sound
35 year violinist. Gave this inexpensive bow a chance. Looks cool, like the black strings. After applying excessive rosin, reapplying many times, and playing many hours over many days I can't get a good sound out of this bow. Whatever material the strings are made of, it doesn't grab the string with any kind of resonance. Instead it seems to slide across the strings producing a weak, slippery sound. Went back to my old string-bare bow and it grabs the strings and sounds fantastic. Still practicing with this black-stringed bow in the hopes it will start grabbing the strings and sounding better.

No tengo mรกs que decir, exelente arco ampliamente recomendado.

Beautiful bow, I am so happy with it!
I am so happy with this bow. I didn't expect much from a carbon fibre but this exceeded my expectations. Wonderful feel, balance and spring. Great value for the price point. I will definitely purchase more from this maker.

The hair does not have proper grip on the strings.!
Having 5 years of playing violin, this is an average Bow. I am surprised by the other's comments/feedback. I bought this bow after thoroughly reading the comments and product description. I applied rosin and after playing for many hours, the bow hair did not grip the string properly. The bow hair slips quite often. Initially, I thought it needed time to adjust, but did not help. My old partially ripped white hair bow is better than this and is way cheaper than this.
