Pros and Cons… So, to start with, the pros… The main reason I bought this was because the current Samsung I have took a poor picture compared with my friend’s Apple. But this has a serious match. So, this has made me happy. It was such excellent value! So much cheaper than anywhere else I could find after extensive research not only in the cost but features as well. It is a generous size. Noticeably clear screen. Sharp colours. Give good volume. And has plenty of features within the settings to set as you require. One great aspect it allowed me to copy all my current file etc from old Samsung with the built in software (no cables). It also has a fingertip reader which I have found perfectly accurate. The charge time is ok. And I it comes with small cable and pin to remove sim for duel sim and SD card. The Cons… No headphone socket. So, you need Bluetooth headphones. Which in turn means no built in radio software as in many other Samsung’s which was very disappointing. It also means that if you do not have Wi-Fi you need to use your data. Poor show - as far as I am concerned. I also found it had far too many pre-installed software items, which in turn are running in the background and draining on the battery. So, I have uninstalled most of them. Which brings me to the biggest moan, battery life. Okay, it depends on use, but I find this poor. If you are constantly using simple use i.e. text or searching web it drains and drains. And if you watch a program – ensure you can recharge at your will. Overall. 4 Star.

In standard colour setting whites look yellow and creamy and colour tone can't be adjusted. It's impossible to get a white looking white. You need to put on vivid colour and set it to " cool". That's better but even then whites are not really white and look creamy/ off white and the colours look overblown, especially reds, yellows and greens. This phone also doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack so if you like listening to good quality music you are relying on the Bluetooth codecs. No 3.5 mm jack is a staggering omission on a fans edition phone. Unfortunately I have discovered after purchase that this phone does not support Aptx HD meaning if you want to listen to music you have to use lower res codecs which don't sound as good and can leave music sounding compressed. You also need to know what codecs the phone supports so you can buy headphones which support the same ones and so you can get quality audio. Samsung seem to not know this, or care. Motorola or Oneplus can tell you what their phones support and did so quickly as they recognise if you're serious about music that it's important. Samsung support was awful. It took time and effort to find out what Codecs it supported and Samsung support was nothing short of woeful. It also has a fair amount of bloatware. Not the worst I've seen but a lot more than Motorola. Its a well made good looking phone but the wireless audio support is not what you would expect for a good phone never mind one at this price point. I originally gave it 3 stars but I think that was more Samsung themselves being poor rather than the phone so I have revised it to 4. I would think carefully though if you want this for wireless music and you value accurate colours.
