2 oz Grindal Worm Starter Culture Live Fish Food for Betta Fry Killifish & More

Very nice starter culture! Both the grindal and the white worms cultures come LOADED with worms. I've been in and out of the fish hobby for 12 years across different states. Ive ordered so many of these things over the years. And this is the first time I do not feel ripped off. Thank you!

No worms, and like a dummy I followed directions hoping the mashed potato mix would magically grow some. To the seller, when your mix starts to dry out, the worms collect together in the center. Take better care of your critters and stop scooping empty cultures from the edges, adding a little water, and selling us mashed potatoes at unreasonable prices!

Worms thriving. To those of you that don’t see worms, they hide in the clumps of media. You need to set them up and wait for them to be drawn out by food. That said, my first order was dead due to hot weather. The replacement batch was sent with cold pack. After setting them up, and feeding them, they are reproducing and thriving. Soon I will start feeding to my lucky fish!

I paid close attention to the instructions provided and did everything as indicated but got no worms at all, nothing! I have abundant experience growing small insects and nematodes so I did not expect the is culture would not work. There was no evidence of contamination or fungal grow so I don’t know what went wrong. I expected a better experience and regret buying this… I will go with other food sources for my little beasts in the future

First shipment arrived completely dead. Just a ball of mold. To his credit, the vendor immediately attempt to send a replacement as soon as I notified him. However, the second culture had what looked like worms in it… but after about a week it’s apparent that these were all gnat larva. I ordered a third batch through eBay (not knowing it was the same vendor), and it appears there are actually a few (maybe 5-10) grindal worms in it. The worms seems viable, and hopefully will reproduce, but it’s going to be a long time before I have enough that I can use as feeders. So, overall, looks like a 33% survival rate, and not enough quantity to use for immediate feeding.

I received my order and couldn’t see more than 5 worms. I feed them and waited weeks. About 3 weeks. I kept feeding them and then suddenly they’re were a whole bunch of them. A month or so now I can start using them. I didn’t think this culture was worth it but I was wrong. Keep them warm and feed they grow quickly. Very pleased and would recommend them.

Culture was small and they were dead when they arrived. Would not purchase again.

When the cup of dirt arrived, it just looked like some blue cheese bits on dirt. For a week or so after, the new container didn't show much sign of life but after 2 weeks I see grindal worms on the food. Finally getting to it before the mold does.
