GreatCircleUSA 7 HP Wood Chipper/Shredder Vacuum Kits/Accessory for Model LCE01

I just got this to put on Harbor Freights 6.5 Predator Chipper Shredder. The adaptor plate has the wrong bolt pattern, and bolt size for this shredder. Maybe if you were to use the cover plate from the chipper as a pattern you could get it to work, but you would also have to get longer bolts with the same diameter as the chipper because the ones provided with the vacuum tube are a larger diameter. I gave this a one star only to be able to post this to save anyone else the hassle of ordering and sending it back.

Ordered this item to test and was somewhat disappointed . Right out of the box , assembly should have been simple , however when attaching the handle the hole for the screw was drill over a ridge so there was no way to put the bolt on (see pic) . I ended up putting a small screwdriver in just so I can continue the test . No problem attaching the coupler to the chipper or attaching the hose . It appeared to have ok suction and it did pick up leaves on pavement and lawn without clogging the tube but brutally slow process. The tube can be a struggle to work out and being only ten feet you would constantly be moving the chipper . If you don’t attach the tube properly .. the intake will want to face up being as ridged as it is . I also made a pile of leaves and tried to suck up the pile … for the most part it’s doable but painfully time consuming . As other reviews said , it’s quicker to just put handfuls in the hopper . Lastly , the drilled a hole in the top of the intake and have some cheap , cut pvc sleeve over it . I can only assume it to clear clogs since there is no explanation as to its purpose . All in all .. for very small jobs or around landscaping , probably ok , other than that… more hassle then it’s worth . I will be returning this attachment and just dropping the leaves in the hopper

If you think the days of bending over and picking up leafs are gone, then move along, this is not for you. It simply clogs up too much to be useful. A complete and utter waste of money. The leafs I am using are dry and small, I haven't even got onto the big stuff I was hoping to use this for. Such a let a down. Honestly it is more hassle and worth to box it up and send it back, that I am just swallowing the cost.Do yourself a favor and leaf well alone

After using the vacuum attachment a second time, I found better ways to use it more efficiently. I raked leaves into a pile to dry a bit. Then I just placed to vacuum head near the leaf pile and slowly pushed the leaves close enough to get suctioned into the hose. Long sticks sometimes cause a clog but are fairly easy to loosen by pushing with a stiff piece of wood. I noticed the hose clogs quickly when it’s time to empty the bag. Again, wet leaves clog worse than dry leaves but can be loosened with a stick.

Works fine but keep in mind that you cannot suck a ton of leaves at once. You must use axsweeping motion for continue feed. Best use is to bring leaves to chipper and then vacuum. Moving the entire unit can be done but not necessarily easily. Have to move chipper and chute together at same time. Just easier to bring leaves to vacuum instead. Tremendous back saver. One side point is for bulk feeding into shredder, I feel manually feeding into shredder with leaf rake works faster than using vacuum attachment. Depending on how you plan to use would depend on recommending purchase. For my intended application it worked well for me. My application was to clean up garden leaves and debris and prepare the ground for a fresh batch of leaf mulch which then was done by manually loading the shredder chute. The vacuum attachment is very easy to put on and take off.
