Fits nice side stitches make it easy and creates a cool pattern.
I found this easy to install and looked amazing on my 2006 dodge Dakota with a 15" steering wheel. While it seems the side stitching would be less professional then just the holes it actually looks better and the cool diagonal stitches that are created as you loop from the back to the front looks very designer.I stretched the leather around the wheel and it fit nice and tight. I started at the bottom at the seam and worked my way around going from back to front through the two loops and then pulling them tightly together with every stitch. I was worried I might tear the leather because I pulled so hard but it was very sturdy. As you work the third stitch back is tight the last one is slightly loose and the current one is loose just keep going pulling tight at each stitch no need to hold tight as the earlier loops stay tight. When you get to a spoke you loop it in the side stitches in the back until your past a spoke so you dont have to tie a knot. One knot at the beginning and one at the end and your done.It took me about an hour I stood outside the car to see the top and sat down when I did the bottom. some people use tape to keep the leather centered but I didn't just made sure it was centered as I went around. People are quite impressed with how nice it looks and feels.

Perfect
First: I'm rather sceptical that this is "genuine" leather. Regardless, it's soft and pliable and feels greatSecond: Do not overthink the installation. The instructions that came with it might be helpful, but they're printed so small I couldn't read them. See the pictures in the product description and watch the videos in the reviews.IF YOU'RE STITCHING THROUGH THE LEATHER YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!To install, all you're doing is looping from front stitch to back stitch. The hardest part is keeping the string tight as you move forward. If you don't it will be impossible to tighten up later. It's an easy process and once you get started you'll get in a rhythm and be done quicker than you would have imagined. I installed mine in my 99 Chevy Tahoe and it took about 35 minutes. Best to do this when you have plenty of light. It was cloudy today, so that slowed me down slightly. Otherwise I'm very pleased with the final results and would definitely buy I this product again.UPDATE: Bought a second cover for my PT Cruiser, which is slightly more than 15", meaning I really had to take my time slowly stretching the cover to get it to fit. This time I bought the more sporty vented version. This one is definitely leather. I find the installation of these simple and can be done in about 30 minutes. Good lighting is key, so have a flashlight or other device ready for the hard to see parts of the job. Even in direct sunlight there will be issues. I'm very pleased with the final result.

Great quality
Took 1 1/2 hours to stitch. Great quality! I would recommend this product as long as you don’t mind taking the time to install.

Product needs some fine tuning
Only took me like 2 hours of messing up before I got it right on the last hour. So it took me about 3 hours but if you already know how to do this you'll whip right through this in less than an hour and you'll get really fast at it too. The color was really good on this and I like that it had extra padding and cushioning underneath that made the steering wheel grip softer. It's very functional, but I can't say much to durability since I'm still putting it together. There is one thing that I did want to note though is that the stitching is clearly done by a sewing machine when they did the border stitching on each side. The border stitching has horrible tension and it will come loose really easily so I think they need to tighten up the tension on their machine or just hand stitch that stuff from now on cuz that's just really poor on that part but I guess then it wouldn't be worth it selling it for $12 anymore. So I guess you get what you pay for and since this was the only gray one that I could find, it just happened to also be $12.The photos are what I have of me doing it about halfway through, I still have to go back and do the other half all the way back up to crisscross the stitch. It looks wonderful though there is some tidbits and tips that you should probably have in the video that they use to show you how to do it on how to not shift the back side in the front side so they don't meet in the center, but I guess after taking it part 3 or 4 times I figured out how to adjust the tension to get it to do that. Can I explain that to you here? No not really. I'll probably make my own YouTube video showing how I did that on my second run through of another steering wheel cover, but the video that they have runs too quickly and the music is very loud and there's no like verbal instructions and the printed instructions that they give you are in black and white and the black ink is really heavy on the pictures so it makes it super hard to see what you're looking at. Definitely a startup product that needs a lot of fine tuning.

Nice fit and finish, very durable
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I put one of these on my car a few years ago and bought another for my new ride. It’s not super easy to put on but with a little patience it will look factory. I really want to say this is better than any leather option but will let you decide. I won’t hesitate buying another if I need it.

Low quality. You get what you pay for.
Looked great until one of the pre-sewn loops popped. Thought I could just use the holes instead, and that broke also. Certainly not a simple fit for a 2001 Wrangler.
