Zebra Mechanical Pencil, Del Guard, 0.3mm, Black (P-MAS85-BK)
T**.
Nice mechanism, but not even remotely robust construction.
The Zebra Del Guard mechanical pencil is declined to save you graphite, by making git harder to break. The mechanism holds up well (even when the rest doesn't) enduring drops well with no bending. One of my complaints with the mechanism is that it enduces wobble, especially in notebooks, from added resistance. I feel it unnecessary for a 0.7 mm pencil, and the graphite doesn't break all that easy. On a 0.5, it is useful but not to such a degree as with 0.3. The mechanism had a lead sleeve that, when the graphite bends, it engages a taper, thrusting the sleeve outwards. It also has a spring on the whole lead mechanism to dampen vertical force. All that added together means that it is extremely difficult to break the graphite, which would be the case if the body werent as atrocious as it is. It is all plastic with ridges on the end as a "grip", which made it hard to hold comfortably, as you have to choke the pencil to keep it from sliding in your fingers. The ridging just makes marks in my fingers, and hurts them over time. The rest is also plastic, despite its brushed appearance. The body bends more than I would like, causing the graphite to break. Also what is holding the graphite guard, is also made of plastic, with no lubercation, thus slowly eroding away. At one point, with the 0.5 model had it in my pocket, and sat down. It broke in half. I would recommend you buy the delguard LX, which solves most of my complaints. In conclusion, the delguard is a good showcase of the design, but is not much more. I would not use this as a daily driver (I would use my r0tring 800+ instead) but it is a well designed mechanism.

Awesome pencil, yes I’m bragging about this style haha
Big fan of these for real! I like these for all types of writing. For math this 0.3 is good for the details in math equations like exponents and signs. I recommend this highly for math, those who struggle with breaking led and really those who are still using the traditional wooden pencil. I have all sizes they offer and I use them accordingly to whatever I’m working on. I’ve used them all in math so you don’t have to get them all, I just like options. Note the eraser is a joke. I just use the standard pink eraser and not the pencil eraser.

Broke after 5 months
I've been working from home and this broke on me after 5 months. Nothing crazy in terms of use, and I can't really tell what's wrong with it. I can't seem to unscrew it apart to figure out where the issues is coming from, it just no longer clicks out led.I actually liked this pencil a lot, nice eraser, all plastic, so it's light.

It just works.
It does what it's supposed to do. The size is comfortable. But there's some weird bumps and ridges going on where you grip it. Hasn't actually been an issue for me, but could definitely be improved.

best pencil I have ever used
This is by far the best pencil I have ever used. I just ordered another one because I "lost" my other one. Everyone at school loves to use it so it likely won't come back.

This is my favorite pencil right now
This is my favorite pencil right now. The 0.3 lead is consistent. Righting looks neater than the 0.5. This pencil looks good. I recommend it if you're not the type that applies lots of pressure when writing.

Good pencil.
Its been a pretty good pencil came in a reasonable amount of time. It's been good for drawing out all of my diagrams during my physics lectures. I'll buy again if this one gets worn out.

Idealer mechanischer Druckbleistft

Loved this pencil until I bought one equipped with kuru ...
Delguard really does prevent lead from breaking in most cases. Loved this pencil until I bought one equipped with kuru toga engine, which has been my go to for 0.5 pencils. 0.3mm lead breaks even less with kuru toga! Still occasionally use this pencil though, grip is comfy
