LEGO DUPLO Town Truck & Tracked Excavator 10812 Dump Truck and Excavator Kids Construction Toy with DUPLO Construction Worker Figures (26 Pieces)

Purchased this for my three year old to encourage him to play with Legos. For some reason unknown to me, he is into work machines, dumb trucks, and the like. We thought that if we purchase this set, it might get his attention. It worked! Since we got this, he has spent so much time playing with it that we decided to purchase the bigger Duplo construction site set with a crane, bulldozer, and a trailer truck. The quality is great and provides amazing playability for the 3-4 year old range. It is sufficiently challenging and encourages creativity, but not completely open-ended. Most importantly you get to play with what you build. My suggestion is that first get a more basic set like the Duplo town center so that the little one would have some bricks to work with. Once you get this set the purchase of the larger construction site will be inevitable! For those of you looking for a gift for a three year old this is it; those of you who want to encourage their kids to play with Legos this would be a hit.

We bought some new toys to ward off quarantine boredom & so far this one if everyone’s favorite. This set is fantastic. Perfect for my 2.5 year old son. Lots of moving parts & cool little features. Comes with 2 vehicles & 2 “guys” so easy for sharing/playing together. Best $15.99 I’ve spent since we’ve been in the house going on 2 weeks now. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this

There are enough pieces that they get to learn how lego blocks work, but not so many that they get frustrated. Easy to put together and you will not be constantly having to "fix for me" when kids are playing.It is more a dump truck and excavator construction vehicle play set than it is a building block set. And that is perfect. They are one of my toddler's favorite toys and he has learned great small motor skills playing with them.

My four year old grandsons were so excited when they received this set. They have several other Duplo sets and this is a nice compliment to those sets. They especially like the movable scoop on the excavator and the pivot of the cab. The two workers that are included have movable arms and legs and also hands that are able to clamp onto the ladder they have from another set. I think this will get alot of use

Kids love it. I have 4 and 6 year olds. They like the small legos but love the duplos. They are easy to put together and sturdy. The six year old manages to make dinosaurs out of them. This is a great gift that will last for years.

Not really its fault, but I swear I am going to stop buying themed Lego sets because the second you lose one piece, or the booklet, these are practically useless. And that happens every single time. So if you have older kids that are responsible and put their toys safely back where they belong every single time, these are amazing. Or if you build these with super glue so none of the pieces come off. But if your kids are like mine, you no longer have a backhoe and a dumptruck, you have random pieces in the Lego box that will never again become anything resembling a truck. But you know your kids, so these might work great for you. These was an adorable truck set for about 13.5 minutes. We had a lot of fun scooping things up and dumping them up for about 6.5 of those minutes. I really would consider super glue before assembly...

It's hard to go wrong with Duplo blocks. My children, three and five, love construction sites, so we got this for him for Christmas. My daughter was able to put it together with no help, and they both enjoy playing with it. The two different construction vehicles are a great match (dump truck and excavator), and the kids like to put them together in a mix and match fashion. The pieces are pretty easy to get together and will stay together (unless you have a kid who immediately likes to pull stuff apart <my kid>). My children have enjoyed playing with Duplo from the start. We didn't even bother with the larger set for my second child. He enjoyed this size from the time he could grab hold of things.

These legos are great until i step on one in the middle of the night. They are cute for the kids to play with but i really get pissed off when i have to pick them all up off of the floor every single night. If i step on another lego again I may throw them in the garbage can.
