Q: Will these work for viewing a solar eclipse??

I use them to watch the sunrise with no issues..I would think they would be good for the eclipse...I'm hoping to try soon.

Q: Could these fit over prescription eyeglasses?

Not really. It's designed to fit snug against the face, creating a seal to prevent dust or anything else from entering. I would recommend wearing contacts or finding a different design.

Q: Can i use these for gas welding?

Yes these are fine for gas welding. They won't work for arc welding though.

Q: Are these sturdy, good quality?

Quality is ok. Make sure to get the shade level you need. I needed an eight or higher. These were level five so I don’t use the much
