Great children's book!I use this to get the children I babysit ready for bath time.This book is beautifully written and illustrated! (Cece Bell is one of my favorite children's author and illustrator)Even as an adult I enjoy reading this book because of the silly references hidden inside. [Spoiler: One of the award nominees is a baby and the movie she was in was "Charlotte's Wet". ha!)I have my own copy of this book but also purchased it as a baby shower present along with a sock monkey hooded towel set. I bought this book to go along with a Sock Monkey for my Grandson. The book has a cute story line and he enjoyed listening to it - he's 4. His sister who is 5 enjoys it also. I think the book and Sock Monkey are the types of gifts that will last through the years.

My granddaughter has not put it down in two weeks. Looks like the same one I had when I was a kid 70 years ago!!

Great book! The illustrations were really well done, with the sock monkey having knit images for his body throughout the book. Gave it to my little nephew as a trick or treat gift, who dressed up as a sock monkey!

Cute little story.

I like to make sock monkeys as baby gifts and I always include this book to complete the gift. It is a great book and begins a tradition of reading a story before bedtime.

My kids (3 and 7) both love this story. We read it all the time. It also helps teach about emotions at the end.
