Our 13 year old yellow lab, Waffles, loves this food. I mean, she would probably eat cardboard BUT this stuff has helped her be so much healthier.She used to get these awful awful awful hot spots every summer and it was so miserable for her. And for my kids who were constantly getting knocked over by her when she had to wear the stupid cone of shame!Since we switched to Royal Canin about 4 years ago she hasn’t gotten a single hot spot and she’s lost about 20 lbs. she’s down to a super healthy weight and she’s in great shape for a dog who is like 85 in human years!She loves that when we soak it in water and it turns kind of puffy and soft. She has always hated drinking water (weird, I know!) but we know she’s getting enough hydration with her breakfast and dinner with this food.Her coat is shiny and soft now and no more itching!!

The vet recommended this food for my overweight English Lab. We’ve already noticed a difference. He’s lost weight, has less itchy skin, has more solid feces, and is more energetic.We tried to do the switch a little at a time as recommended but he just wasn’t having it. He’d spit out the kibble pieces of the previous brand and just eat the Royal Canine. So we just went straight to this after several days of picking up the stray kibble. Good thing labs have stomachs of steel.He also gets one can of the wet food per day separately and licks the bowl clean.

My vet recommended this for my 16 year old corgi who has liver disease and excessive thirst and was peeing inside all the time. He was on raw, but this chow has helped lower his cholesterol numbers and one of his liver numbers.One morning I fed him raw instead of this chow, because I wanted to get rid of some old meat. He went to the bathroom inside so many times in 36 hours!This chow has definitely prolonged my dogs life. Previously he was waking us up in the middle of the night barking because he was thirsty. Now he sleeps through the night. Love this chow!

My dog lost a little weight and he has more energy. Helps with fat lumps.

The food seems to have calmed our labs stomach issues. He has slowed down how fast he eats but that is relative. He is still a veracious Lab. And though I would do almost anything for our pet who is part of our family, it pains me to pay 200% more for this food over other high quality foods.

This is the only food that doesn’t upset my lab’s tummy. He loves it
