What size of amp should I use for this speaker?

I personally would go with the kicker 500x1 since the speaker is rated at 500 rms this amp will put that much or more on that 12” CompR but if you ever wanted to upgrade someday I would go with the CXA Kicker 800x1 and run it at 2 or even 1 ohm for 2 CompRs in the future. It just allows enough power at a higher ohm load to run to 1 12” but you never know when a upgrade is around the corner. The 800x1 would work better with 2 CompRs but will still run the single 12 at a higher ohm load!

Absolutely! If you run one sub get a D4 and wire it to two ohms. If you run two subs grab some D2 and wire both to 4ohms each and from the enclosure to the amp combine them for a final two ohm load
