Built well, light is bright and works fine - BUT second USB port is not as powerful as you'd expect (NEED) it to be!
Nice, bright but only does 50% of what I needed this for -- the un-switched USB port does NOT carry enough current to power/charge my iPad which, unfortunately, I use on stage right above my pedal board and was equally important when considering this item. I also tried powering a small LED light strip from the USB port as well --- no go! Would light up for a few seconds, then dim, then start to cause a hum from the LED switch. **I run this off an isolated port from my voodoo labs power brick but, the "bright switch" will still only support the goose-neck light they included. Lifetime warranty is nice in case it fails to perform the 50% it does now. If all you need is a light on your pedal board and don't even need the extra port, then this is five-stars.... if you need to use both, Im only knocking one star off since I don't know how the other port would be of use since it doesn't seem to be providing proper power/output.

One Way To Solve A Problem, But, The Only Way?
The Bright Switch worked as described, but I had several issues which I could not overcome. The first was the real estate issue. Bright Switch does take up a bit of room. The second was powering. My pedalboard power brick could not supply enough power to power or charge my iPad, which was the reason for my purchase to begin with. The third issue was the light. It was just in the way. And, the last issue was the price. I ended up getting a pass-through USB module, powering it with my power brick, and multi-color LED strip lights, which provide lots of light, and are more fun. The cost ended up being about the same as The Bright Switch, but better suited my purpose. Final analysis: The Bright Switch is a great idea, just not for me.

Packaging poor
The packaging was kind if a disaster. I believe the pedal itself is fine! I will update if different
