(Update on 19th September 2019) IT'S STILL GOING GUYS! The battery is okay, will last 2-3-4 short sessions but that's it. Haven't even replaced the head since learning that new oil trick! But what I have learned is not to leave a shaver in the bathroom as the metal on my old shaving head has now rusted (among other things like my shower head, go figure). The same thing happened to my partner's beard shaver.(Older Update) It's now been 1 year and 2 months!! My gosh, I'm sorry I didn't update sooner. In that time I've bought 2 replaceable heads. At one point the shaver started cutting my underarms and I changed head but it still had the problem and I thought "oh no, it's time to buy another silly shaver" but I then found out you need to oil the heads occasionally - so I just got some "Wahl Lubricating Oil For Clippers - 4floz" it works for hair trimmers, shavers, and funny enough I used it on a squeaky door and it cured that too! The oil is a shavers lifesaver and it's still going, pain-free.(Original Review) Everyone is going to have different opinions because everyone has different skin/hair thickness. I'm one of those people with thick hair that seems impossible to remove, I also have to replace my shavers every 6 months because I wear them out so quickly. Under the arms, the shaver performs well, no nicks or cuts, legs are a breeze. What attracted me to this shaver is that you can replace the head/foils yourself! This should save me having to buy a new shaver every 6 months!

I love all my Remington hair tools, but this shaver is not the best. It is beautifully ergonomically designed and nice looking, but my problem is more with the double foils and the cutting edge. Shaving with this hurt my underarms (and I fully accept I may have used it incorrectly) and after one use, I decided to go back to the Philips lady shave, which I bought this to replace. So back to the Philips which I bought a week after this. By contrast with the Philips I discovered that the cutting edge is specifically designed with microscopic rounded tips, so it does not graze the skin and I think this makes all the difference.

OK so I am the world's most laziest shaver. I decided to go electric to see if I could make it a quicker less taxing experience. I love winter for this reason. Tights and hairy legs are basically there from September till late March. I hate shaving with a passion. Unless absolutely necessary I will only shave areas on show. I'm not a dirty person. I just hate having to do it. On opening the box it was easy to set up, came with a little bag and accessories which is handy for travelling. I belive a charge lasts 30 mins. You should get quite a few uses before needing to charge it again. I read a few reviews prior to using saying about the device pulling the hair at times. I didn't experience this in my first use. It is quick to use. I did two full legs in less than 60 seconds. Dry might I add. It's not a smooth shave compared to a traditional razor, it's like the day after length which is fine with me. You can't see the hairs on your legs. I'm not entirely sure wether the shaver is supposed to catch the hair as it cuts but it does go everywhere. I decided to use it on my underarms wet. I regretted this almost instantly. It literally took a layer of skin on one of my armpits. It was like someone throwing lemon juice on a paper cut for days afterwards. I won't be using it wet again. I've given 4 stars for that reason. Buy it if you're lazy like me.

Just doesn't cut hair. Head too big to use in armpit, just doesn't work. Thought because it had been used I would not be able to return it, husband pointed out statutory rights, but there is no button for that next to order, seem to have lost my chance. Worth noting there is no way to return this within statutory rights after 1 month is up.
