Bought two of these and both arrived without the mounting plate.

Excellent light for letting the dogs out at night. Goes off in 30 seconds after you leave. Stays on when you are still outside.

This light is awesome! I actually thought it was a 4 pack I was getting, pics were a bit deceiving but this light is exactly what I wanted. I use it for a security light camping and just bungee it to a tree. I placed it about 30-35 feet from my tent in a way to shine on the whole site if there was any movement or someone tried to enter at night etc. I tested it by going behind my tent now probably 40 feet away and waited until it went out and as soon as I moved it came on. Its brightness is perfect not too much but not too dim. Bright enough to see well but not blinding. Very sensitive which is what I wanted. I will be purchasing another one.

Very simple to install. Runs on 3 AA batteries. Comes on at night when it detects motion up to 25 feet. **After having it up for a few weeks I find it very weak. The light has dimmed rather quickly.. Which means constant battery changing. I wanted a bright motion sensor that lights up the front yard. This one just isn't cutting it. I guess I'll find some other use for it, and buy one that's better. Someone mentioned they use it in their closet. That may work for me too. At least I won't feel like I wasted my money.. *I put it my bathroom and it works great as a night light. Comes on when you walk in. As long as you place it on a shelf the light won't be too bright. But, good enough that you can see**

Love these little lights for their being inexpensive, motion activated, battery powered, and can be aimed at a target such as a combination lock if needed. But the mounting could be made much easier, e.g., mount a plate fastened to the wall with 2 or 4 self-tapping screws and design the light itself to snap into the plate with a simple twist. And there probably should be an O-ring for a good seal. The part with the light & batteries does come off with a simple twist but probably needs an O-ring too. If you can get past the installation, this is a nice little outdoor light for the price.
