One terminal was not properly secured to the thermistor. Wholesale Sensors took accountability.
I removed the original thermistor from my MasterTemp 400 heater and installed this "replacement". This new thermistor worked for about 30 minutes. Then the heater shut off. I thought perhaps the problem may be due to a poor terminal connection, so I decided to clean the wire connections. I pulled on the thermistor wire connector to remove it from the thermistor. When I did so, one of the terminals pulled out of the thermistor body, destroying it. I had no such trouble removing these spade connectors from the OEM Pentair thermistor. I chucked this thermistor and ordered an OEM Pentair 42001-0053S. Update 1/7/26: Wholesale Sensors reached out to me and offered a refund for the failed thermistor. I'm giving them four stars for going out of their way to stand behind their product.

Functionality and price
