Epica Super-Grip Non-Slip Area Rug Pad 5 x 8 for Any Hard Surface Floor, Keeps Your Rugs Safe and in Place

If you're familiar with kettlebells, you may have heard of the "Turkish getup", where you go from lying flat on the ground to standing upright, all while holding a kettlebell above you. It's a great exercise for almost every part of the body. The problem was that I have wooden floors, which are both hard on the knees and slippy when you're sweating. Yoga mats can help, but they're not wide enough, so you find yourself holding a heavy kettlebell overhead, with your body on the mat but your hand resting off the mat, always with the worry that a slip would be very unsafe. I bought a gym equipment mat because it was wider and longer than a typical yoga mat - it's intended to protect your floor from things like cycling machines or treadmills - but its surface would still get slippery when sweaty, and it was still quite hard on the knees at the half-kneeling stage of the getup. The solution I'm very happy with was buying this non-slip mat. As you can see in the photo, I put it over the gym equipment mat, tucked under the ends. It offers a little more padding than the equipment mat alone, but the main thing is that it gives a strong grip, both on the mat and on the wooden floor. There's no point, even when very sweaty, where you feel you'll lose grip. After buying this we also bought a smaller one to go under a cotton rug in my daughter's room and we're also very happy with that. She has a desk and a wheeled chair on the rug, and the non-slip mat holds the rug in place when she shifts the chair around - so exactly what we were hoping for.

I got this for my Queen sized mattress, along with other things i wanted to keep from sliding. Its rubbery, thick, and offers the non slip surface that i wanted. Its easily resting on my bed frame, with a little bit extra i cut off and used for other applications such as in some of my drawers. I used to have a problem with my mattress sliding forward and leaving a gap for my pillow to slip into. With this nonslip pad under it, its been able to stay put. And thats not all. Changing my sheets now has become a breeze. Where previously i would have the mattress sliding around as i tried to loop the sheets onto each corner, it solidly stays in place. Just incredibly useful and for a great price. I would recommend it.

We have a large area rug that we use this mat for. Its great for holding the rug in place and makes the rug even nicer and softer to walk on. The only thing I don't like is that it can be a pain to lay out flat after the first time you lift it up to clean. The easiest fix for this is to get the little sticky corner weights for rugs and put them on the corners of the mat. This makes it nice and easy to roll out and keep in place and gives you the benefit of the nice soft padding.

These are great. They fit nicely under my rugs and they keep the rugs from sliding around. They seem to be rubberized and they cling to the floor well. They machine wash well and I hang them dry in a short period of time. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to keep their rugs or room sized carpets stable. Reduces the risk of injury from slipping rugs. Quality product and great price

This pad is seriously amazing. I was doubtful, but it really works -- we have four (four!) Labradors and two 3x5 rugs in our kitchen, which has a laminate/tile floor. Those rugs would end up EVERYWHERE except for where I'd originally put them, and it was a never-ending battle to keep them in one place, or to keep them from flipping up or folding over. I bought the 5x8 pad and cut it to fit the two 3x5 rugs, and now those rugs do. not. move. This is awesome! Even when the Labs skid across the floor coming in from outside, or when they dance and hop as they're about to get fed, these rugs don't move any more. I love this pad! Ok, it's not perfect, of course -- over a few days, the rugs will move *ever so slightly* maybe an inch or so from where they were originally -- but an inch is almost nothing, really. I'm very surprised and happy with these rug grippers. Easy-trim, too!

I cut this up to fit multiple rugs in my hall and entryway. With the new pads, the rugs are staying in place much better than before, when my cats could run through and dislodge the rugs (even though the previous rug pads stuck to the floor). These do not stick to the floor. The squares are large and give more cushion and more stability. Nothing moves around when we walk on it. I would like to know what "plant derived materials" they make these from, since I am allergic to rubber (which comes from plants)--however, I am not having an allergic reaction to these pads. I am hoping that Epica will offer an 8x10 rug pad on Amazon soon. I love this pad! It was so fun to throw away the old, dirty, floor-damaging, thin pads and put these on cleaned floors.

Product works just as discribed. we have a new puppy that likes to run through the house, jumping and landing on our rugs, when she does, the rugs used to slide around the room until we started using this product. she still runs around the house jumping on the rugs, they just don't slide round any more. we highly recommend this none-slip area rug pad, also, the size of this produce was great. we were able to cut it in half and use it for 2 round 5' rugs. the price was the best for what you get. Very happy with this product and the seller!!

This is a good product, which I bought it several times, but I am getting irritated by the fact that a mat that should be rectangular is NOT. Whoever is doing the cutting is not using adequate equipment, or does not care. It should not be hard to do it right. Just follow the squares of the mat! That apparently is too much to ask for. I'll try another product next time.

I was buying this to stop the rug from sliding when my dogs ran over it. I was pleasantly surprised to find or rug felt so plush and way more comfortable with this rug pad!! It does help a lot with the run slipping except the dogs can still turn it a bit when they're really excited (they're 50 and 65 lbs so that's still a win and not the rug pad fault haha). You will be happy with the purchase.

Easy to lay out, nice cushioning. Took a while to receive, but arrived in good condition.

Easy to work with, to unfold, and cut to size. The underpadding seems to be the right thickness for comfort, warmth, and softness for walking on. Stays in place. I was a bit concerned reading the reviews about leaving marks on the floor, not sure how that could possibly happen, there is a warning that if your floors have just been cured, finished, don't use right away, wait so many weeks!

I have used it for less than a month on a marble floor and there are already marks on the floor that won't go. While it serves the purpose of preventing the carpet from slipping, it causes floor damage. I would not recommend this product.
