Very nice solid lamp. About 1/2 the price of some companies. However, it's probably due to the fact the light bulb requirement is for and English/ European sizing. It does equate to a candle size, not your standard US size. If that's not a problem for you it's great. The only downside is you truly need a dimmer switch to see the monkey (I have gold). Elsewise it's so bright you can't really see the monkey and it's blinding to look at.

The monkey lamp arrives well packaged to protect it in transit. Ours arrived without a nick or scrape. The tail is separately wrapped for protection and simply pushes into a plastic lined hole in the back. You can put the tail in various positions to fit your mood. The light cord is fabric wrapped and twisted like the cords of old. An inline switch controls the ON/OFF positions. There is no dimming function, which would be a nice addition, but, since the bulb and base are separate from the rest of the monkey base, the switch could quite easily be changed to a dimmer style. The bulb is a two "filament" LED bulb styled like an old Edison bulb. It has an E-12 candelabra base, rather than the E-26 standard base. There are a variety of bulb shapes available with the candelabra base, so if you want to change the look, there will be lots of options On our monkey lamp, the hole drilled in the monkey's hand to hold the base of the light is not quite perpendicular to the ground, so the light is tilted about 10 degrees from straight upright. That is rather minor, but it detracts from the finished look.Overall, I love this. We got it as a gift for a family member who loves all things monkey, so I'm sure he will love it.

I LOVE the Monkey. He/ She is Quirky, Fabulous and Fun.The monkey comes packaged well, the tail is not attached. It is easy to attach the Tail.. I guess you can put it on in different ways. YOu can pull the cord up, how ever you feel it works for you.Perfect, Quirky Lamp. I love it; and I knew I would find a place for it, if it did not work where I needed a lamp.It is one of those silly things, that you just have to have. I saw it and it was love at first sight.It is a fun lamp. It is easy to assemble; and was well protected in the box. The cord is nice, and complements the lamp, as well as the vintage inspired, LED bulb. The complete look, could not be more perfect. He / she is a bit larger than I had expected, so he ended up on a different shelf. I do love this lamp, and he/ she looks amazing anywhere.

A 'brass monkey' lamp for the bar. Excellent. Very interesting. The light comes tucked away in the bottom of the packing foam. If you don't open the right end of the box, you might never see it.It's the quirky addition that tweaks an otherwise hard place to illuminate well.As advertised. Well made. Very cool.

His resin goldtone monkey lamp is absolutely amazing! The look and design is exactly as pictured. It comes almost completely assembled. You just put on the tail and insert the light. It even came with a bulb.The weight is absolutely solid and the gold shine is beautiful! The light is a bit bright since there’s no shade, but perfect for me.I’m in awe of this dude. I’ve already gotten compliments. He’s so original. Highly recommended!

No lightbulb included. Amazon will not honor the lamp sold by the third party seller. I have no idea whether it is working. It accepts a smaller bulb than I have. I read reviews of other lamps s sold by cozymeadow, no lamp or not working. No bueno.
