Mattel DC Comics Multiverse Supergirl Figure

Really Nice.I've got to say ahead of time, I loved the first season of this character's run on CBS. But unfortunately not for its CWTV run. So when I bought this I was really happy, now not so much. Basically the powers that be for the CWTV wanted to make a TV series of Supergirl, hoping to cash in on the DCEU's Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice. Unfortunately, CWTV didn't have room for super-powered alien heroes on their lineup. But CBS was interested in cashing in on the success and ended up doing this show for a year. I loved the show, it wasn't perfect but I adored Melissa Benoist's sweet and kind-hearted take on Supergirl.So when I heard there was an action figure in the making I scrimped and saved and waited for the opportunity to buy this figure. The resemblance to the character is spot on, looking like she did whenever she was in costume for the first and second seasons. The boots are detailed, the skirt is simple, as well as the cape, the red stitches look and the texture to the 'S' symbol. The face looks really good. Resembling Melissa's appearance in the promos down to her eyes and her smile. The hair is also pretty nice, with the top much harder so its still apart of the head, but the lower part is softer, so as to enable head movement.No accessories on this figure except it Collect and Connect Doomsday leg.

I've been trying to find an female action figure for my daughter who is getting interested in superhero's and when I searched on Amazon, most of the Supergirl figures were hyper-sexualized in someway. Large, anatomically impossible breasts, skimpy costume, tiny waist. I don't want my daughter to try to emulate an impossible figure. So when I learned that they had finally produced an action figure of the Supergirl played by Melissa Benoist from the CBS television series, I bought it. The figure is of an athletically built young woman with a modest costume and skirt. The figure itself feels durable and has many articulation points so you can pose it any number of ways. My daughter was thrilled to get this action figure and immediately took Supergirl out to fight the bad guys. The only weird thing is the disembodied leg of Doomsday. You have to buy the collection of action figures to get all the pieces to build him.

Very good likeness to Melissa Benoit. The figure is posable, and a very good action figure or collectors item. But I would say "play with it" because, come on... you want to pose her in super heroic fashion

The one we received had her hair glued on a little too far back giving her a HUGE forehead. Great figure other than that, but just wish she didn't look like she was losing her hair.

The media could not be loaded. Not worth the money I paid for this, and didn't get the piece I actually needed, won't ever buy from this vendor again.
