A brilliant resource for students of fundamentalism
Students of propaganda techniques and the psychology of religious fundamentalism will benefit enormously from a perusal of this little book. It makes liberal use of pull quotes yanked out of context and misused to bolster the idea that America is a "chosen" nation. It also perpetuates the myth that the founding fathers were "good Christian men," by using the aforementioned pull quote technique. Any evidence that is contrary to the book's agenda is of course ignored.A splendid example is on page 114, where it says "according to their (the revolutionaries) worldview, obedience to God took precedence over loyalty to country or government; their primary allegiance was to the Lord Jesus Christ."This is of course a total fiction. While many of the founders made reference to God, they were referring to the deity espoused in deistic views of religion: one who created the world and left it to run itself. Jefferson was a prime example of this mindset. He even took a pair of scissors to his copy of the New Testament and cut out all references to miracles. To him Jesus was a sage who taught good moral principles, not his "Lord" in any sense of the word.It would also be of great value to students of hermeneutics, as a perfect example of how the Bible should NOT be interpreted. Little attention is given to the textual or historical contexts in which the cited verses appear. For example, numerous verses that are statements from God to ancient Israel are misappropriated and applied to the United States. This of course shows a blatant lack of respect for the Scriptures, an attitude that is common among "Bible believers."In short, this book is a fantastic example of bad religion, bad scholarship, and bad reasoning. For those reasons I strongly recommend it to those seeking an understanding of religious fanatics and how their minds actually work. An excellent book in a similar vein is "How to Get Rich as a televangelist or Faith Healer," available on Amazon.

The Only Way Out of Slavery!
The governing powers in the US want Americans in slavery. They want people to be ignorant and stupid and too many have already willingly obliged. This book gives hope and a promise that "freedom is not free but a God-given right to every individual."
