Great potential, but fall short
Pros:- Look and feel great- Remain in ear even when running! This is where most other headphones failed for me- Rubber sleeve on the headphone jack ca be used to pack them tidy. Avoid the wire tying into impossible knots while in a bag or pocketCons:- Takes a while for your ear to get used to the pressure from EarClick, especially if you wear them for long periods oftime- The EarClick silicon bit in each bud can be lost easily- Durability as usual seems to be lackingThe cable tore at the jack after 6 months, and no sound in the left bud. Handled with care during the period, and only a bit weathered. See picturesI'm giving 2 stars, because while I adore these headphones, and I don't mind the higher price, it seems crazy that they become worthless just because the cable tore a little over such a short period of time.Update #1: Urbanears did send me a replacement after I contacted themUpdate #2: After about 8 months the replacement lost sound in the right bud

Great fit, great sound, great customer service and amazing build.
I bought these in August 2014 - it is now July 2016 - I'll start with the fact I love the fit for my ears as I do not like the in ear tulip design at all, so these are perfect, they also come with 3-4 different ear sizes. The sound is amazing. So that is the important information. But now is why I am coming on here to review after 2 years, firstly my Mrs threw them to me from a 4th floor balcony some 6 months ago when enroute to work, I missed the catch and one of the metal tear drop mesh covers went missing, earphones worked fine still, I contacted Urbanears to purchase a replacement cover for one ear, they asked for my address, some 6 weeks later they arrived, no charge, (I am in UK they are in Canada?) left and right covers supplied, thank you Urbanears, customer service, TICK.Now the ultimate reason I am writing review, last week they went missing..... woops in the wash they went with my work trousers, put them in a pan with rice - working as good as new, and nice and clean. Not a murmur on the sound. SO, if anyone is writing a bad review about build quality, they had to do worse than a 4th floor drop and a 40 degree wet wash in a machine.Thank you Urbanears, amazing product!

Urbanears Medis Headphones Black Review
I purchased the Urbanears Medis Headphones primarily as an optional back up to my Urbanears Plattan Headphones when I don't have briefcase or bag with me.DESIGNI'm always listening to music on my iPhone, I'm fairly particular when comes to what I purchase in how it's constructed/designed and how it looks, Urbanears Headphones look very fashionable as an accessory as well as headphones/handsfree kit.Like all Urbanears headphones the cables are covered in durable cord which prevents excessive tangling and protection. The ear pieces are mostly made of quality plastic with exception of the rubber click adjusters exclusive to this design. The ear click feature of this design works very well for the most part and I haven't had any problems with the headphones falling out of my ears thus far, but extensive use similar to may in ear headphones does become a little uncomfortable no matter how soft the rubber click adjusters are.The handsfree volume control is simple and easy to use, tough I did find that the forward and backward skip feature was a bit fiddly, so I tend to differ to using he skip functions on the phone itself when skipping more than one or two tracks. For use of call answer handsfree it's easy and cant go wrong, but if it were not for the easy access volume controls on the iPhone itself it would have been beneficial if there was a dedicated volume function on he remote.7/10THE BOXThe box contains is not standard fare attentional to design detail of the product itself carries in to the packaging. You will find the usual Warranty/Guarantee information, manuals, product catalogue ad Urbanears sticker.Like the Urbanears logo the individual three shapes construct the overall logo design and each triangle part that makes the square of the box contains the headphones, angled 35mm jack adaptor for older phone models and rubber ear click replacements in three sizes to accommodate your ear size.10/10PERFORMANCEI'm no audiophile this choice was based purely on design and looks, many reviews have noted that these aren't the best sounding when compared to Beats or the like, but for my daily use I found no errors and the sound separation to be decent enough bearing in mind that all my music is down sampled to 128Kbs.10/10VERDICTThe Urbanears Medis is definitely a little more expensive than other similar headphones on the market, but its targeted as are more fashionable entry and it's worth it.I purchased these as another fashionable optional backup that's easily stored in a pocket when I don't have a briefcase/bag with me an they serve that purpose very well. For the look and overall package I would highly recommend this purchase.5/10EXTRA NOTE:After nearly 5 months of use, Like my Urbanears Plattan headphones I found that the 35mm jack wire connection unseated. This means sound coming to the headphones would cut off and became very temperamental when on the move.I claimed on the warranty via Amazon who were very helpful and got a replacement to me very quickly.Unfortunately another 4 months in the exact same issue and I could not claim on the warranty again.Perhaps not of a durable piece of hardware than I originally thought.

The design of these is fantastic in that they kind of "float" over your ear ...
The biggest plus for these earphones is how they fit. I'm (un)lucky in that "normal" earphones don't want to fit in my ear properly. The design of these is fantastic in that they kind of "float" over your ear and hook into the lobe itself, providing multiple size options to ensure good, snug, fit.Sound quality is definitely above average and I've never really had a problem with it (although I'm the first to admit I'm nowhere near being an audiophile). While they don't have any active noise cancelling, in crowded areas with my mobile sound turned up they do the job well.My biggest issue is in their construction. I've had four pairs over the last 1.5 years and they've all failed at the same point - and that's where the cable meets the audio jack. Interestingly the design has changed specifically to address this problem, but my fourth pair have just broken and I'm now fishing around for similar earphones but from another manufacturer.I freely admit I don't keep my earphones in a perfect environment and ensure they never get tangled and are always stored in a cool, dry place like all the advice says. But then if I did that I'd never be using them. So yes they get tangled every once in a while, yes they're plugged in while I get my mobile phone out of my pocket, and in these every day actions the Urbanears Medis just isn't up to the task.If you use earphones in a static environment (like a desk), and struggle with the fit of other earphones, these are for you. But if you're like what I suspect most people are like, and want to use your earphones when out and about, then the search should continue.
