Solid Clamps That Get the Job Done!
I picked up this pair of Hacuba 1-inch barbell clamps for my home workouts, and honestlyโtheyโve been perfect for what I need. What I liked: They lock on tight and stay put during my workouts, even on my old spin-on style bar. The quick release design makes swapping plates a breeze, and they feel secure without being a pain to use. Iโm not doing any heavy powerliftingโjust solid fitness training and these hold everything in place with zero issues. What I didnโt like: Nothing to complain about here. They do exactly what I expected. Bottom Line: If youโre looking for simple, reliable clamps for standard 1-inch bars, these are a great pick. No fuss, no slip, no regrets.

Pretty convenient
Didn't know what to expect with these; I figured either some very cheap generic collars or something decent. I was pleased with the product's appearance, function, and feel when I first opened the package. They seem durable initially and appear to be better than I thought they'd be, quality wise. A big advantage of these is using them on a long bar, where otherwise you'd have to squeeze a collar and push/pull it long distances. I didn't notice anyone else selling these colored ones, so that is what attracted me to this specific item. I really like the red for a couple reasons; not as likely to get misplaced and blend in with other stuff that's black/dark, as well as being easier to quickly spot to confirm they are on the bar. The retention works well if your bar is actually 1 inch. I have one bar that is slightly under 1 inch and while these attach, you can tell it really isn't 100% secure. Overall I'm pleased with using them initially, and will update if they break. Update: I have used these off and on since 2016, at least one period for about a year straight and they still work fine. Not dropping bars or dangling stuff, just clamping weights for lifts where the bar stays horizontal and I've never had an issue. Again, just make sure it feels secure and your bar needs to be a true one inch.

Works perfectly with my ez curl bar
Works perfectly with my ez curl bar which came with spin collars. These make it much easier to change weights in between sets.

A Decent Collar
In my early usage of these collars, they are pretty good. I don't know how long they will last as they are plastic but for $11 its not bad. As other reviews have said, they slide on and off with ease on threaded bars but from what they were saying, it sounded like these wouldn't go on a non-threaded bar at all as they were too tight. But I took a chance and got them anyway. While they don't slide on with ease, they aren't what I had pictured to be impossible to get on, based on reviews. They go on quickly enough and are tight when clamping is applied. I tried wiggling the weight to see if they would walk down the bar and they stayed put. And the clamp is not impossible to close on the bar nor does it give me the impression that I am stressing the clamp itself. Perhaps my 1" bar is slightly different from others, who knows. But it gives me a comfort level that the weight is secure better than my spring collars. Again, this is an initial review so we'll see how they work as I put them through their paces. I would not trust these (as I wouldn't trust any spring collar) for any overhead dumbell exercises. People doing that are just asking for injury. So in conclusion, the price isn't terrible and I can say I like these collars and they perform adequately. We'll see about longevity in the coming months/years but at this point, I would recommend.

Easier to use than standard gym gear
These keep barbell plates on for the workout. Easy to use, much easier and safer than squeezing a metal clip open or twirling the threaded ring nut. It goes over smooth bars and threaded. The price doubled since I bought the first set over 7 years ago, but what can you do.

SAFETY RISK WARNING! Do NOT use with over 45kg weight total!!
I bought these a year ago and originally I liked them! They are fast and easy to use for changing out weights. But today I had a rude awakening as to the high accident-potential for these. I had my bar loaded with 50kg for deadlifts. Not a lot of weight as far as weightlifting goes. I finished my deadlift set, walked the bar over a few feet to set it down, and on the way one side of the weight plates slid off the bar completely. The unweighted side shot up and the other side slid down too. I narrowly escaped getting hit in the face with the metal bar! I examined my Greententljs clips and discovered that BOTH were still firmly locked in the closed position. They had slid off because they couldn't handle the pressure of the weights. Be aware that these are a big safety risk if you're lifting anything over 45kg! I was extremely lucky I wasn't doing barbell squats or overhead presses when this happened - I could have been seriously injured. Be warned and do not consider these as suitable clips if you plan to lift anything over 45kgs!

Not very tight
I use this for my standard barbell that has spiral lock threads. They slide on well but sometimes get caught on the threads. The plastic seems ok. Could be sturdier. The inside have two rubber pads that huh the bar. For my case I just wanted them to put some resistance on the weight so they donโt move too much. It works. But as I use them the rubber pads get worn (3 weeks in) and it gets looser each time. When I got them one of the pads were off. I guess I could place something under the rubber pads to get them tighter. These donโt really have enough strength to hold the weights. The 25lb plate would wiggle out as I do a set of deadlifts. I would not use these for my dumbbells. I do have them on when benching and the weights are sliding off, but then again they donโt slide off when I have no locks on. Iโm sure with a non threaded end it would work much better. These are easy to use. Snap off and slide out. Slide in and snap on. Beats turning the locking nut for 10 seconds as fast as I can.
