Have bought this Yellow Hat brand several times now, never had one fail (yet). Just for the record, I own an actual Electric Motor Repair shop - so I am not buying these for the same motor every time. I use these on farm motors, and pool pumps - and yes AC motors too. Good product - good price!

Works Quickly delivered

Purchased in late 2024 for use as a spare. Installed on 4/29/26. Failed on 8/25/26 (0 micro-farads). Recommend others look elsewhere for a better capacitor.

before you do anything, pull out the A/C breaker next to the condensing unit & place it on top of the electrical box. Now you can troubleshoot. My unit did not have the compressor or the fan running, so I knew it was probably the cap. or the contactor. Replaced the Cap .after checking uf's & now blowing cold air inside my room. Thank you Mr. Carrier for caring about people & inventing A/C.

NOT FOR THE NOVICE - SHUT THE POWER OFF - BUT IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH CAPACITORS AND ELECTRICITY YOU CAN REPLACE A FAILED CAPACITOR(CHECK WITH a METER OR BULGED) IN YOUR A/C IN MINUTES SAVING A WAIT AND AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE CALL. CAPACITORS CAN STORE AN ELECTRICAL CHARGE SO BE CAREFUL - CAPACITORS USUALLY FAIL FROM OVERHEATING OR THERE COULD BE OTHER PROBLEMS REQUIRING A HARD START KIT OR SERVICE CALL -

Works perfectly and easy to change

This is my first review ever. Because this part is so important to people who depend on parts working in the field I felt that I had to write it. The capacitors both quickly failed. I was lucky to have had a scavenged one with me that I used each time they failed to hold me out until different ones arrived. New ones "different name brand" still working fine.
