Light Up The Barbie
I have difficuty imagining a scenario in which it is so dark that you need this torch and you are BBQing without any other illumination. But perhaps the BBQ grill, much like a kitchen, needs sufficient light for the Chef de Jour to work efficiently and if the ambient light is not up to the job then this Image twin-head BBQ lamp will fit the bill. The clamp is designed specifically for attaching to a cylindrical bar, but can be made to work on a square cross-section bar. The tilt and 180° swivel head means that it can be placed on either a vertical or a horizontal mounting, and the split head, with one section being able to be pivoted away by 90°, allows for an even wider spread of illumination from any attitude. Each section of the lamp has five LEDs. powered by three AA batteries, and these lights are impressively bright for their size - a claimed 100 lumens. The on/off switch is a touch sensitive button on the stem, which I found to be a little over-sensitive, I switched it on accidentally several times when just trying to change the positioning of the lamp.Although it is powerful for it's size there are other lamps as good or better, but what makes this eminently suitable for Barbies is not just the ability to attach to the BBQ, but it's resistance to heat, which I would regard as a particularly important feature. And, perhaps fortunately for the UK, it also claims to be rainproof - although I found no IP rating.

Can see what is cooking!
Bought for my husband to use on the BBQ so that he could see what he was cooking and therefore avoid any upset stomachs. He likes the adjustable head which he can shine to different cooking area parts. All seems to be good so far

Great for barbeques in the dark!
I bought this for my son-in-law for Christmas. He loves the amount of light given off. His grilling is always cooked to perfection!

Great for my gas grill
I should have bought this sooner, it's great. Hooks on to the BBQ lid and lights up the entire grill cooking area.

Didn't work for long
Initially I loved this BBQ lamp. It is very bright and seemed to be perfect but durability is an issue.Unfortunately the touch sensitive switch soon became very temperamental and I sometimes had great difficulty in persuading it to switch on (and then I couldn't make it turn off!)Then the lamp stopped holding the position I put it into so now it just flops down and doesn't illuminate the chosen area. This is very disappointing as I have only had it for a few weeks.I do not recommend this item. I am planning to buy one that is better quality next BBQ season.

Versatile light not just for BBQ. A bit pricey though.
This is essentially a torch with a screw clamp at the end.You have to unscrew the battery cover to insert the 3xAAA batteries, which is nice and secure, but if you only have a BBQ once a month I'd prefer an easier way to remove the batteries when it's not in use.The clamp will screw onto a round bar or even flat edge, although on an edge there's no adjustment to the angle it points at. Once in situ, there's a touch-sensitive button on the back to operate. The light is really quite bright, and the twin head arrangement allows one half to swing out to 90 degrees and illuminate a wider area.Overall it's a nice bright torch, but being articulated would have been nicer, and I'm not a fan of needing tools to fit the batteries.
