For as long as I can remember, I have been at the mercy of food. On one memorable occasion, I was halfway through a cupcake when I realized that I had no recollection of picking it up or deciding to eat it. Food was an addiction, and though sugary foods gave me headaches and nausea I couldn't stop eating them. Long story short, I saw a naturopath who recommended that I try this to help regulate my blood sugar and cravings. I can't thank her enough. Now, I can wait to eat until I'm hungry, instead of reaching for something just because food is nearby. As an added bonus, when I do decide have a cupcake, I no longer experience headaches and nausea. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have a healthier relationship with food, and with sweets in particular.

I know inositol is super helpful for people with insulin resistance. I have insulin resistance, and, knowing and respecting this brand, I didn't think twice. I have been using this for more than three weeks. The instructions say two tablets, twice a day. I have been taking two tablets, once in the morning. Now I wish I took one in the am and one at night (but I take another supplement that's supposed to be taken at night, as per my prescription). The first week was fine. No side effects, and knowing that I was doing something good for my body. Starting with the second week- INCREDIBLE hunger. Like, INCREDIBLE. I'm not super skinny, I eat healthy, balanced, lots of healthy fats and protein. It is possible that my blood sugar was low too much- maybe?- that I was craving anything and everything. Especially in the afternoon. I don't weigh myself, but looking in the mirror, it's obvious I have gained so much already in the last two weeks. I don't gain weight as easily, so this is rapid and unusual for me. I have also been fatigued, bloated, and just blah the entire time. I'm giving up. I don't want to go through this, not knowing whether it will help or not at the end. Research suggests at least 3 months to see actual results. I can't imagine how I'd feel and look by the end of those 3 months. Too bad, because it' expensive, too.

This along with berberine has lowered my A1c down to 5.3 without any dietary changes. I was 6.1 in June and by August I was no longer pre diabetic!
