I loooooove this singing bowl! It is gorgeous! Definitely hand made and done very well. I had to clean it when it first arrived, and it looks amazing. The sound that resonates is beautiful. I have better success playing this bowl on the table rather than in my hand. I also have been able to create beautiful sound with the wooden side of the mallet, but I'm still practicing with the leather wrapped side. I emailed the seller with a few questions and they were extremely helpful. I love the little handmade wool pillow that came included. I have added a photo to my review, although it's hard to see how beautiful it really is. This bowl is exactly 5 inches and has some weight to it, I would estimate about a pound to a pound and a half. I'm very pleased with this bowl and will be purchasing another as a gift. I love using it for meditation. It takes a whole lot of patience, focus, and concentration to make a beautiful sound without chatter from the mallet. At first I would use the mallet to gong the bowl and play of the resonance, but now I'm starting to get better at playing it and can start the sound by just playing the bowl. Don't expect to pull this from the box and be a pro. It is easy to play but takes a lot of practice to play it correctly.!

Wonderful seller! They've been in touch all along and even wrote to ask if I liked my purchase. Okay, I've been on again, off again about this beautiful bowl. I have a larger bowl at work that I've gotten used to so this smaller bowl took some time for me to love. This bowl is TRULY BEAUTIFUL on the eyes! The thing that is different is that there are many other tones under the primary note when it is struck and this took some time for me to adjust to. After spending a few hours listening to samples elsewhere online I've decided it's just as it should be. The only drawback for me (hence 4 stars instead of 5) is the odd lotus shaped "pillow." It's thick in the middle so the bowl doesn't sit well on it like it would an o-ring pillow or a soft pillow that can hold the base of the bowl. Thanks for a beautiful product.

I was so excited to get this bowl & it is as pictured w/the intricate designs, very beautiful. It also sings easily. My major gripes with this bowl was that it needs to be cleaned desperately. In the pictures it shown to have a shiny surface to bring forth the design of the bowl. Mine arrived unclean & I have used a cloth to try & shine it up but it didn't work. It needs something to clean off the surface but I don't know what & don't want to damage it. The other thing I had a problem with was the pillow. As others stated it is cheap & I didn't like it & ordered a different one to go with the bowl.

Beautiful bowl, has a lovely sound when struck but can't get it to sing. I have 5 other bowls, they sing, no problem. I have wooden mallets and ones covered with suede. I've tried everything. The bowl has an almost tacky feel to it. I tried washing it off to no avail. I'm open to suggestions. I really don't want to send it back😕Update. I am sending this product back. Several people in my family have tried to get this bowl to sing, and it won't. So sad because it really is a visually beautiful bowl.

This bowl is beautiful, and the sounds are enchanting. Just tapping it produces a pretty bell sound with a little sing, and my husband can produce a beautiful song with it, though I'm still working on my technique (this is our first bowl). It did come a little dirty or tarnished as mentioned in prior reviews, but cleaned up easily (I splashed a little bit of jewellry cleaner on a soft cloth). I would definitely buy it again from this seller.

Beautiful bowl but entirely too difficult to play.

This is a lovely bowl, beautiful etchings, quite heavy for the size. It has a very nice sound, has taken a little practice to make it continually sing, but as I get used to it, I am able to play it more easily. Every bowl is different, some take more time than others to learn. That is my experience, at any rate - I'm a novice to the singing bowls. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you!

This is definitely a beautiful bowl beautiful packaging in a beautiful box. The details carved into the bowl are amazing my only issue, is we know it's handcrafted there is one flat side of the ball which makes it impossible for the fabrice side to go all the way around and hold a sound. I can get it to play with the wooden side of the mallet for short amount of time.
