The metal locking nut sheered from rubber pad now everything is useless

The thread size is not the standard M14, it is larger, so only works with large concrete grinders, not standard angle grinders that can take a 125mm pad. This is not specified on the ad. The pads are okay, but not as effective as others I have used. Even using the 50grit took a long time to get surfaces somewhat smooth.

I had a family heirloom that I inherited recently. It was an antique dresser with a marble top. The top was in bad shape with lots of scratches, some quite deep. I was able to get all but the deepest of the scratches out and put a nice shine on the marble top. Just what I needed for this project. The pads appear to have lots of life left on them, though I don't have a current use for them. Maybe I'll pick up something else that needs polishing...

For the first time I purchased a product over Amazon with the word "diamond" in it that actually did what it was heralded to do. These "polishing" pads (50-200 grit) are great for removing cutting marks and smoothing surfaces in stone sculpture; much like using a sander on woodcarvings--and almost as quick. This is what I hoped they would do and all I wanted. (I'm working in limestone and other porous rock.} However, I had some trouble with the more refined grits when I tried to get a polish on the surface of the rock and bring the color out. Even when wetting I noticed the stone surface began to blacken. I need more practice, obviously. As an alternative, I polish up to the 200 grit and then apply finishing wax (for wood) to the stone surface; this not only brings out the color, but also creates a dull sheen that is very attractive. (Sorry, too lazy to get up and take a photograph.)
