Industrial quality and craftsmanship-EXTRA TOUGH
These are my personal favorite locking bit holders because the locking mechanism is easier to use than any other. Bits easily insert and it’s automatically locked and it stays unlocked when you pull it forward. True one handed operation. Wera makes very high quality products and this is no different. I own several of these in different lengths and have used them for years without any problems. I even use them in my most powerful impact drivers and they’ve held up perfectly well. The collar is steel with hard plastic rings (black and green) on the center portion of the exterior. The black and green rings on the outside are not fixed so you can hold them safely to steady the bit holder and they wont spin in your fingers as the bit holder spins while driving fasteners. Works with 1”(25mm) insert bits and power bits. To insert a bit you can simply insert the bit easily and it will be locked regardless of where the locking collar is positioned but if it is open in the forward position the action of inserting a bit will also slide it back into locked position. To release the bit you pull the collar forward and the bit will pop out part of the way while still being held from shooting onto the floor by the magnet. When the collar is forward the bit is loose and held only by the magnet and can easily be removed with little effort. The magnet is in full contact with bits when the collar is locked and is very strong. Enough to hold 2.5” (70mm) long screws onto a bit easily. The steel collar is tapered and in the locked position is far enough away from the end of the holder that it doesn’t get in the way for most driving applications. Toe-nail style screwdriving or driving screws at an angle to the surface of the material is not a problem with this bit holder. I hope this is helpful.

Super chuck
Used it for everything from door and lock installation to wiring and electrical. Working fantastic so far! I thought the magnetic pull would be stronger for screws sticking to the bit but I think it’s mainly to hold a bit in place- having said that it still really grips a screw very well, even up to 4” deck screws. I tried it as a test, you have to shake it to get it to fall off. The collet design and how it holds a bit in place is perfect 👌 a+++++. Extremely happy with this purchase.Haven’t used it but a few days so we’ll see about longevity. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again if I broke it though.

No explanation necessary...
I usually don't write reviews but I make exceptions whenever I come across a great product. When I received this adapter I was quick to try it out since it is a German made tool. I was not disappointed. It flowed any of my bits in and out smoothly and it held everything very securely. Another example of great German engineering compared to other large Asian manufactures that produce *hit tools!

Decent quality, not great value
I like buying high end tools, but this one is not that much better than the cheaper Chinese/Taiwanese version. I think they can make a better connector. It is more balanced and spins "true" compared to the cheaper ones, but still not perfect.

Wera Hex Bit Holder
I love it. Works great. Almost too well. I was so used to my old bit holder that I forgot I had one that actually locked onto the bit. I had a pair of pliers out and was pulling on the bit with all my might, until I realized this thing was doing it's job and I was being an idiot. Despite that, this thing never budged and I didn't damage it in the least. A simple & great product. I will be buying another.

nice tool but with snap on prices elswere
This tool brand r built supposedly to last the r good innovations but they pretty costly in other stores or sites not here they give the best price or close to the best and try to beat it.The wera tools r good to the standards and they try to out beat the others in quality performance and durability. I have friends who own this brand of tool and they seem to be really great stuff for the money, Actually they r investment tools for the serious tradesman and pro contractor or serious diyer. if u have the cash wera has the stash 4 your needs to get the job done or to have handy 4 the long hall this rapidaptor is just a start 4 me and little by little I will get other sets like ratchets and that. just to try'em out to see how wll they perform.
