I use this 5% fat British beef mince regularly to make bolognese or chilli con carne, and it’s always excellent quality. Cooks well, not greasy, and full of flavour. Perfect for everyday meals, definitely a repeat buy

Good quality and taste. Fresh and good value

INTRODUCTION Since I've to observe a strict and precise diet in order to keep fit (I currently work as a personal trainer), I seized the occasion of the reduced shelf life (a special offer usually made whenever food is about to expire) to purchase the high-quality mince I'm going to review in the following lines. PROS The price-quality ratio is competitive, considering customers have to reach a predetermined amount to order their groceries from Amazon. Furthermore, the percentage of fat present in this mince is the right one for me (5%). Of equal importance is its good flavour: most people, including myself, are accustomed to preparing a wide range of recipes containing mince. CONS Nevertheless, although the quality is not low, nobody can say it's excellent: matters of fact - as already specified in the introduction -, the product was about to expire, so you can't expect the top! OUTLINE This purchase was a bargain indeed, for I managed to buy a huge quantity of meat for a very cheap price. I warmly suggest purchasing this kind of mince for people who really like meat or have to observe a diet similar to mine.

It tastes good, reasonably priced and is low in fat. The plastic packaging is also compressed to a minimum. Good buy.

Pretty decent 5% fat British beef mince. It’s made from British farm assured beef and feels fairly lean without being dry. I picked it up for £2.89 on Amazon, which is good value. It works well for everyday meals like lasagne or spaghetti bolognese. Pack size (500g) is handy for a couple of portions, and it’s useful that it can be frozen at home. With Prime delivery it arrived quickly and the return option gives a bit of peace of mind.

Although it's a small pack. It was enough for a Spag bolt for 3.

The taste of this minced beef is good. However, I ordered this item on 23 August and it was delivered on the same day. When the item arrived it had a use-by date of 1 September. I opened it on 23 August and I could instantly tell it was not 100% fresh and that if I had left it for another 24 hours it likely would have gone off. Therefore, if you buy this product you should eat it within 24 hours and not wait until the use-by date.

Not bad at all, cooks down well for a nice cottage pie. Good value as well for a low fat option
