Plug-and-play
My hearing has been slowly declining over the years. With my wife’s continuing reminder of the TV sound volume being too high, I began exploring hearing aids from Costco brands costing a bit under $2000 to name brands costing north of $4000 just before the pandemic. While I can afford these prices, I really don’t see the reason for spending so much money on what amounts to a fancy sound amplifier. I have explored lower cost devices advertised on Amazon and various hearing aid sites. After comparing features, prices, and reviews of about a dozen hearing aids, I decided to take a chance on Banglijian. The price is reasonable, and the overall rating of four stars is the highest I have seen among these dozen hearing aids. This hearing aid comes with a bunch of ear domes so that the user can try out different shapes and sizes for comfort and fit. I have been wearing this hearing aid for about a week and am quite comfortable with the open dome. The device works as advertised. There are eight sound levels. The middle level appears to work well for me. The hearing aid can be set in two programs. Program one gives standard amplification, which is what I use. Program two increases the high-frequency gain somewhat and may work for folks who lose their high-frequency hearing more than others. The battery lasts for over 12 hours after a full charge and can be recharged within a few hours (I did not discharge to zero before recharging). Contrary to some comments about the difficulty of placing the hearing aids for charging, I find it quite easy – just insert the hearing aid into the correct slot and push until the charging light is on. Given the 45-day return policy and 18-month warranty, I don’t worry about the device failing, as most failures of electronic devices happen within the first month or so.There is a string attached to each sound tube. In both the device description and my email conversation with the manufacturer, I understand that the string is meant to help placing the hearing aid into the ear canal and removing it after use. I did not see this feature in other hearing aids. I want to see what happens if I cut off the string. My plan is to request the manufacturer to send me two sound tubes as backup. The manufacturer has so far been very responsive towards my questions. Let’s see if the responsiveness extends to this request. There are two features this device does not have: the ability to adjust the gains in different frequency bands and smart phone connectivity. Frankly, for hearing aids in this price range, I don’t expect these features. For now, being able to hear spoken words clearly without fussing around with frequency gain and Bluetooth connectivity is actually a plus – less is more. It is truly a plug-and-play device. I am very satisfied with this hearing aid. To the folks at Banglijian, a job well done!

Not good at all
IF it sounds to good to be true. well you know how that goes. I read all the reviewsand said i will give them a shot. After all everyone is saying how great they are. These are very cheep feeling and the button are hard to press the up and down volume.Mine squealed like a siren and could not stop it for anything. After all these are just amplifiers and not real hearing aids. I'm sticking to my doctors recommendation and going with a local company. yea. I'm going to pay a lot more but it will be worth it in the long run. remember. a thousand great reviews wont mean they will work for you. also not a believer that all the reviews are truly based on real costumers.

Battery life
He loves the hearing aids. Very comfortable & no "windy" sounds. Only dislike is the longevity of the batteries. May last 8 hours max. Great at first, but after 3-4 months, started losing charge.

Working ok for what I need them for in public areas.
I've had these about a week. I have tried several other brands and types. I tried several inside the ear brands. Those caused problems with my own voice sounding muffled and WAY too loud in public areas. They also would fall out! This over the ear brand have not fallen out. The sound control is easy. I can hear more conversations around me and but not too magnified, does seem more natural. I like the ear buds that have holes in them, my voice is not muffeled and more natural. I work in a school and I could hear during a staff meeting! I look forward to how they work in a classroom. I also wear glasses and sunglasses and the over the ear has not been a problem. Good results for the less expensive option.

I'm sorry some folks tried these and didn't like them, they are really missing out.
I'm very sorry so many of the 1 star review folks had such simple problems - squealing, popping out, nipple falls off, these are the such minor issues, so easily solved. I'm sorry because they are missing out on the most effective and easy to use set of hearing amplifiers you can imagine. The case here for example is as close to perfect as a designer could create, small and compact, yet it holds multiple recharges, turns the units off when inserted in their charging port, back on when removed from the case for wearing, led lights that totally inform me of the state and progress of charge. And so no tiny coin batteries to fumble with when they die and need replaced, which if you ever had to do that, you probably know some curse words your grandkids shouldn’t know that you know. There are so many ear cones, nipples if you will, that are included, from tiny to gross, some with double flares, some open to ambient sound, there's a set for everyone, and they do NOT fall off, believe me, they are VERY snuggly attached to the sound tubes. The amplifier is designed for the two most common hearing problems, 1) loss of general acuity, for which the amplifier will boost a range of frequencies from high to low, or 2) the high frequency degeneracy so typical of us elder folk as we age, for which the amplifier just boosts the high frequencies, the ones so important to hearing the crispness of consonants when words are spoken. Like ALL hearing units they require a small amount of practice to insert, after which it is a no brainer – very similar to the practice it takes when first learning to insert contact lenses. But I think the one aspect that I MOST appreciate is that the price is REASONABLE!! If Casio can make $20-$30 watches that have 20 different functions and whose batteries last 10 years, it’s shear highway robbery for companies to charge $2000-6000 for something so small and simple. Yes, there are hearing losses that require more complex hardware and software than these, but for the 80%-90% of us out there who are just getting older and our ears are wearing out from years of ordinary everyday thoughtless abuse (we know who we are!), these hearing amplifiers are an incredibly well designed and crafted solution. I’m really sorry for those few folks who purchased these, and then found some minor excuse to not use them. They’re missing out on one of the best (and least expensive) solutions there is to one of the most common problems that degrade the quality of life of us seniors, and that’s a real shame.
