Let's all swoon over The Russian
I'm collecting book boyfriends like Clubcard points at the moment and I can now add the sexy, ice hockey playing and emotional gentle giant Vlad to the list.Vlad or "The Russian" as us Book Club fans affectionately know him as, has finally got his instalment in the series and I lapped it up.Those who have read the other books in the series will know that The Russian has been a main character since book one. Often the butt (pardon the pun) of everyone's jokes due to his unfortunate digestive issues, I was desperate for him to get his own book so we could see and learn more about him.His story was brilliant and nothing like I thought it would be. A mix of marriage of convenience, childhood friends to lovers and one hell of a slow burn, Vlad really is THE sweetest hero of the Book Club so far and you can't help but fall in love with Elena too. As always time spent with these guys is an absolute hoot, the banter game is still strong and some of the one liners had me in absolute hysterics. I could even go as far to say this is my favourite along with book one.I really hope this isn't the end of the bookclub because I'm seriously hoping we get a Colton Wheeler book because...well we NEED it. Who's with me bookclub fans?

4.5 stars
After lying to his friends and existing in a loveless, arranged marriage Vlad decided to take the bull by the horns and admit to his wife that he wants more from his marriage but it might already be too late as Elena plans to move back to Russia, without Vlad.I don't know if it was the knowledge he's gotten over some of his tummy troubles or it was empathy for Colton as he suffered some of his own gastric issues but something immediately set Vlad apart from the comedic side character crown he'd earned himself in the first 3 books. It could also have had something to do with getting more than 3 words at a timeAs always with this series Lyssa manages to weave such a beautiful love story between the Bromance Bookclub as she does the main characters. The camaraderie and genuine friendship between these men was exquisite. From their genuine concern to the unwavering support, I could read about this group of men forever. You absolutely got your monies worth with this one. There's so much story. Even when I thought it was getting tied up and coming to an end then suddenly I still had 20% to go and there was still so much more story to come. This series as whole has been such an enjoyable, easy read. Anyone who's thinking of reading: DO IT!

Love this series so much!
This series is one of my favourites! I have adored the Russian from the start and was so excited to get to read his book!Vlad and Elena have been married for 6 years, but it has only ever been a marriage of convenience - despite the fact that they both secretly wish it was more. These characters are wonderful and I love each and every one of them. The men in the book club are so brilliantly supportive and I started to miss them the moment I finished the book! Five stars for this sweet, sexy, funny read.I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Russians romantic?
Much more enjoyable read than the previous books in the series. Key criticism is the key protagonidt the Russian is overly romantic, which is not typical of male Russians. Also his character has evilvolved into this handsome, attractive sportsmen. HE was never described like this in the previous books. Otherwise the eviolution of the character with the helpof the book club is believable. Fully recommend.

Love this series
I have followed this group since the first and had this on pre-order so it was somewhat of a surprise when it appeared in my kindle. Vlad has been one of the favourite characters in the series the lovable comedic relief and his story was worth the wait.Is this to be the last of the book club ???

The warm, sweet Russian
Headlines:Second chancesAll the good guy vibesDr DoolittleVlad 'The Russian' story has been long awaited and this installment of the series was fun, sweet and warm. For those wondering, the gluten allergy was under control and toilets weren't a big feature of this story. What was a big thing of this story was Vlad's marriage of convenience to Elena and how that evolved.Vlad finally had a dose of the Bromance Book Club and the twist to the book in this one was pretty great; I'd definitely read Promise Me. I really enjoyed getting to know Vlad's personality, his warmth, his integrity and affinity to animals. He really was the kind of good guy I love to read about.Elena was a complex and restrained character but she did open up. The banter and dialogue was en pointe in this book, just as I have come to expect from this series. I would share some quotes but most are pretty hilariously double entendre. Friendships are always a theme in this series and I'm wholly entertained by the guys but I have to say the women stole the friendship stakes in this one. Claud was particularly funny.I do hope there's more to come of this series because I'm not tired of it yet.Thank you to Headline Eternal for the early review copy.
