Cut out and grout! Cottagecore vibes!
Do as others say- CUT OUT INDIVIDUALLY AND GROUT!This product has the potential to look really cheap and ugly or it can look beautiful and well done! The secret is as others have said. Cut out all of the stones individually, attach with liquid nails, and then grout in between. I think it looks best when you make the grout look messy so you dull down any shine of the fake rock to make it look more realistic. Really happy with our results!

Great purchase!
For the price, this product was great! I was so inspired by product review pictures, that I decided to leave my own so that someone else can be inspired. I built a fireplace and cut the ‘stones’ out individually. I glued them to the plywood with all purpose construction glue. I did the German Schmear method, but here’s a warning! The paint or color on the rocks will wash off with a washcloth and warm water scrubbing over the dried drywall compound. Thankfully, it blends in with the schmear appearance, but I would have applied the compound differently if I had known the paint would come off. Overall, this product was perfect for my desired outcome. You won’t regret the purchase! I plan to order again for more projects!

I love it!
The media could not be loaded. I have been dreaming of a moody old world kitchen for a long time now and I finally pulled the trigger on this stone paneling. I followed the advise of another reviewer and cut the rocks out and laid them out myself. Kind of a high stakes puzzle but it turned out great!! I still need to schmear the gaps, cover the cut lines and give it an over grouted look but I’m so happy with it! I would just say that the product price point is a little high for what it is. It’s incredibly thin and it’s hollow. So you end up using a long of whatever adhesive you choose to fill those air pockets. Also it is a little shiny so I plan on using a matte finish on any pieces that don’t get grouted brushed. Peel and stick would make it more worth the price because you wouldn’t have the entry expense of adhesive. But other wise easy to use, looks great!

Very cheat and ugly.
Not good. Not worth the money.

Exceeded Expectations
Absolutely loved this product! Like other reviewers, I decided to cut out individual stones/clusters of stones instead of using the whole panels. That made for a very realistic looking rock wall and helped me cover more square footage by spacing them out a bit further. I used Leech construction adhesive to glue them on then piped grout into the spaces and smeared it in with gloved hands. Already have another wall I’m planning to do!

Fireplace update
I used these panels to update my fireplace and copied all the other DIYs from the product reviews. I cut out individual pieces so that it didn’t have a repeat pattern. I used larger pieces to frame out the top of the fireplace. I used joint compound to over grout. After it dried, I sanded and used a wet sponge to finish it off. I will probably seal it. The stone looks real! I attached a before and after photo.
