Which shoes are best to wear with these pedals?

Pretty much any stiff soled shoes. I put old school MKS toe clips on the pedals. The sealed bearing model of this same pedal is much better.

Not sure of actual weight however I ride about 250 a week on an older Trek and went thru several makes before I got these and now I have them on all three of my road bikes. One Trek, a Cannondale and a Fugi. Great pedal which was helped by the price.

Which toe clips are recommended?

Since I commute in the city, I do not ride with toe clips. Sorry, not able to help you on that.

Ersatz für den Stahl-Renner

Wenn es nicht 100% Original sein muss, ist dieses Pedal eine prima Alternative für den Vintage-Renner, ggf. auch um die Originalteile zu schonen. Preisgünstig, dennoch gut verarbeitet, entspricht nahezu vollständig dem Campa-Nuovo Record-Vorbild, passt zu den alten Pedalplatten und fällt nicht auf.

High quality

There is nothing not to like. I've restored vintage pedals and the quality of these pedals is superior. The finish is super and the internal works are excellent. I did the slightest of adjustment of tension on one pedal which is me just being picky. I would recommend these pedals to anyone concidering a clip pedal. Mine went on a single speed.
