Does anyone else have trouble opening the tray? Is there a secret? It works fine when I can actually open the tray. I bought 2 of them but I can't always get the tray open even when all power is off.

It worked for a micro second then when it mattered most it was spotty at best. I couldn't get it to read blank DVDs at ALL and then blank cds only read once in a blue moon. Had to keep popping it out with a paper clip in the emergency button because the regular button wouldn't work. When it worked, it worked fine. But I got one cd burned and just gave up and bought USB drives to give to my customers instead because I really needed to burn the dvds not the cds. Too many files.

I have a Windows 10 computer and as soon as I plugged it in, I saw the DVD player light up but not actually do anything. The instructions are made for order computers so I am assuming it was too old for Windows 10. And they recommend external power but that is something you must acquire on your own. -__-

Works right out of the box on my MacBook pro. A little flimsy. And I'd have loved an option to pop out the disc when it's not connected.

Shortly after my return window this product stopped functioning properly and would not close. Now I have to hold it closed for it to start otherwise it pops open immediately after I put a disk in it. It is a cheap piece of plastic that looks better than it functions. Not worth the $23 that I paid for it. DO NOT BUY!

Got this for a friend for Christmas after hearing that the new macbook she got didn't have a CD drive. She said she uses it all the time and that it works great.

Does not work with my macbook, got it specifically for uploading photos to my computer via CD's and it says CD is not readable.
