My wife and I have two little people, my son being 4, and my daughter being 2. Both are very active and love testing the limits of pretty much anything within their grasp (and finding ways to get to things that they can't reach). While I regularly have to remind myself that these kinds of things are completely normal for kids their age, it can be difficult to find things that are built sturdy enough that they stand up to my kids. One thing my wife and I have been on the hunt for recently is a sturdy table-and-chair set for times when we need to give the kids (and their friends/playmates) calm activities to do. We recently spent time with some friends who had this set, and I noticed pretty quickly after giving the table and chairs a once-over that they appeared to be built very well - definitely not the chintzy particle-board stuff scattered all over Amazon that I am sure my kids would destroy in no time flat. I was impressed enough that I added this set to our family Amazon cart and, once the price dropped to a point I was happy with, went ahead and picked up a set of our own.Well, after several months with our set, I will say that I have been nothing short of impressed with how well it has held up, especially in the context of our kids. As a few key points,• Build quality is excellent, and everything assembled very cleanly. My wife and I were actually able to make a date night out of it and really enjoyed working together on it. Yes, the wood is layered (plywood), but it's high quality and very clearly built to last.• To date, the only wear I've seen is from when my son decided to stack the chairs on top of each other to make a fort, which quickly resulted in the chairs' toppling to the ground and getting scratched - though only very slightly for as hard as the chairs fell. Otherwise, everything still looks like new.• The table has a very slightly textured but still smooth surface that cleans easily and is perfect for kid-based activities.• While the chairs are rated for kids and smaller adults, I will say that I have no issues sitting on them. I'm 175lb, so I don't typically put all of my weight on the chairs (just to be safe), but they seem well-made enough to be able to take it without any trouble.That said, if, like us, you have curious, adventurous kids and are looking for a sturdy, affordable table/chair set for them, look no further than this one. It's a winner!

Adorable table and chairs set, perfect for homeschooling my toddlers. It came with a few minor scratches and scrapes, but nothing that will stand out in another couple months.As much as I read the descriptions and the reviews, I did not realize just how small it would be. I can put 3 coloring sheets (not books) and a small container of crayons and the table is full. We'll have to move to the big table for larger projects. The chairs are also small but I think we'll manage to get a few years out of them before the kids get uncomfortable.I did swap up the chairs pieces, using one color for the 4 legs and a different color for the seat and back. I made 4 unique combinations and the looked great without looking overwhelmingly colorful.I'm sure this set will last for many years!UPDATE:We've had this set for nearly 10 months. The table still looks great, although I covered it in clear contact paper from day one so I'm sure that helped a bit.The chairs, however, need some TLC. Aside from obvious scratches and bumps that come with toddler use, the legs need to be tightened regularly. One chair randomly fell apart, first one leg then the whole front section of legs and support pieces. It's sitting in wood glue and clamps right now so we'll see how it holds up.It's an ok set but I am now wishing I'd spend a little more and gotten something a little bigger.

I got this for my little one (23 months old) as a place for him to have his own workspace. I checked online for all sorts of options and picked this one for 2 reasons - the price, really reasonable for 4 chairs) and the color.The product came neatly packed inside a box that was easy to open. I loved that each piece was wrapped individually to protect it from scuffs and dings. The instructions were easy to follow and I was so proud of myself for putting it together (you will need a screwdriver). The pieces are light enough that my little one "helped" hold the pieces in place as I screwed in the nails. He even had fun using the allen wrench.The table is a great size for 2 kids to doodle together. I really can't imagine 4 kiddos together. It's the right size for toddlers. The chairs are sturdy that I don't have to worry about my son tipping backwards when he's trying to sit in it. I can see us using the table as the "kiddie table" for dinner parties. Cleans really easily with a wet cloth.We've actually put a chair with our coffee table so he has another "workspace"Currently, we have bungeed art paper roll holder to a chair. and then another bungee cord wrapped around the top of the table to hold the paper in place so he has his drawing station. The size of the table is perfect for the size of the paper, and as he wants more, he just pulls and gets a new space to doodle on.Check out the photo in the image gallery.I am really happy with this product, i'm happy with the quality. The finish of the table doesn't look cheap - like some veneer wood pieces can look - the chairs are really vibrant and everything looks like the photo.

This set is made very well for the price. It’s made of wood instead of plastic so eventually can be recycled. Bright and cheerful. Don’t over do the tightening or the wood might crack, don’t leave water on it for hours or it will warp!It’s not Nursery School quality so the reviews complaining about things should price out that stuff. One Montessori quality chair is about the cost of this set.
