This product works well. It's a bit pricey but used twice a day (added to my dogs’ wet food) it does a great job of taking the edge off and helping with gently making my pups more calm. It doesn't seem to be unpleasant tasting as my pups didn't mind it added to their wet food. I recommend it.

My dog has always had separation anxiety but it has worsened with age and now that he's a senior dog approaching 11, his anxiety has gotten worse. He would bark and howl minutes after we left and even if gone for just one hour (and presumably the entire time) because we could hear him barking when we got home. I had tried Rescue Remedy but it didn't help so I was dubious about something natural helping with separation anxiety but I bought then tranquility Blend anyway. My dog is 33 lbs and I used 0.5 ml. I mixed the liquid with his food and gave it to him as I left. When I came home I did not hear any barking. Then I opened the door and the security alarm gave me the 30 second warning (so I could input my code) and even through the beeping noise, my dog slept. He was sleeping!!! I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a fluke so I tried it again and once again, my dog was not barking or howling and was in his bed resting. He woke up quickly once he realized I was indeed home (it took him a couple of minutes) and was not drowsy at all and was alert. I have used the Blend several times since then and each time I'm amazed. I tend to think overly positive reviews are fake but I'm telling you this one is not. This really works and it's been a lifesaver. My dog is able to be left alone while I run errands and not freak out. Thank you Animal Essentials!!

I started using this after visiting a homeopathic pet store and looking for something to ease my dog's stomach issues on long car rides. WELL, I then thought I would try it during a thunderstorm and it worked so amazingly well that I tell all of my friends with nervous dogs about it. I had tried so many things for my dog - vets gave her way too harsh drugs, which I hated giving her (and a few I never gave her after reading the side effects). Thunder, fireworks, etc. make her so, so upset/nervous/anxious, it's so sad to watch. I got this and it calmed her so much. She is still aware of the noise, but not running around like crazy looking for hiding spots, it calms her so much! I give her a full dropper and it takes about 20 mins (so I watch the weather or I'll give it to her before fireworks start). There is a HUGE difference. She actually lays down during storms, still aware but so much less anxious. I recommend this highly for dogs with any anxiety, it's such a lifesaver. I give her the dropper through the backside of her mouth and chase it with something like cheese or meat - because it's got a strong smell (which doesn't seem to bother her and she's picky).

First off, the claims that it’s a sweet scent are misleading. This stuff stinks. A dog that likes to lick themselves didn’t want it anywhere near his mouth. That should tell you something. Second, even 3 times a day, it had zero effect on our dog. Yes, he’s a little hyper, but the stuff had ZERO effect. I wanted to give it a fair shot because I refuse to put my dog on meds to calm him down like everyone does with their kids today, but this stuff doesn’t work. It just stinks. Figuratively and literally.

I would have given this 5 stars, because the product itself does a great job of helping to calm my dog when he is anxious. Unfortunately, the dropper used to measure out the dosage has no markings on it, so you can't actually measure the dose. I'm going to have to buy a separate product so I can make sure I'm dosing my dog correctly.

Seems to work. Got it on the recommendation of a friend whose dogs are scared of thunder. I got it for mine who very much dislikes fireworks.

Pricey but worth it Pet

I have used all these herbs for myself and other humans and I find them very effective. I have had a hard time finding custom herbal glycerites, so I got this blend to try for my easily startled anxious cat who exhibits aggression when overstimulated or afraid. Unfortunately, although valerian makes humans sleepy, it turns out that valerian can be a cat stimulant, similar to how catnip is stimulating for some cats and relaxing for others. I can clearly feel that the milky oat is having a similar effect on my cat as it does for me -- less startle reflex, more grounded, less fear. But this blend did not calm her down. Instead she demanded more play and got aggressive at a dog even though the dog was running away from her. The only ingredient I can think of that might be doing that is the valerian. I wish this brand offered a valerian-free version.

This product has literally saved my dog's life.
