10 stars, with plastic polishing media this was the ticket. If you just get a 4 stage kit from some company your going to be sorely disappointed tumbling gemstones. I used this after the 1000 grit stage 4 on my amethist and for my first go around tumbling rocks I am satisfied, and I only tumbled with this cerium oxide for 2 days... And I'm going to take it to a total of 9 days. So the pic is 2 days tumbling. And this rock was my most damaged rock, using a 2 pound rubber drum tumbler and plastic media filled 80% of drum total and 8 stones that were a total of .71 lbs, I put 3/4 of an inch of water and 3 tablespoons of cerium oxide and a small splash of borax to keep things flowing, perfecto. Pretty cool little hobby I can't believe I got my self into lol. Can't wait to tumble the other 9 different gemstones I bought 2 pounds of each lol
