Yes the wax burns off in the kiln at a fairly low temperature, you definitely can glaze where you waxed after it’s is fired off.

Yes! Be sure that both the unfired glaze is dry and the wax is completely dry before dipping. You might need to wipe any drips of the new glaze away off the wax but it will make a great protective barrier for the glaze underneath.
