So is this a 1 1/2in. male thread without using any adapters? and will it work on abs pipe?

The top part of the vent (you can see the 2" male threads). The bottom part of the vent is an adapter that allows solvent welding to 1.5" or 2" PVC (not ABS). So, for 1.5" ABS pipe with male threads, you need to use a 1.5 Female to 2.0 female adapter/coupler or, if no threads on the ABS, solvent weld on a 1.5" ABS to 2" female pipe thread adapter.

Can I cut the vents coming through the roof and cap them in the attic with this?

Per code, you need one 3" vent out the roof. The others can be air admittance valves as long as there is access to replace them and they can get air to work properly.

What is the difference between the 39016 and the 39017?

Just a different model number. They're both the same size for the same size pipe.

i have 2 fixtures to the same drain, kitchen sink and sump pump, where should this Valve be placed? Both go to septic, Sink won't drain with pump on

First off I would highly recommend to not put sump pump discharge through your house waste system. It should always be run to the outside. One reason is that your system is not designed for the volume and another is that you are pushing sediment through it. It should be run to the outside away from the foundation or into a drywall system with your gutters if so eqiupt. If you do it the right way you don't need this valve. Also, what happened to your original vent? Lots of questions here....you should only need this for an island sink or difficult remodel situations. That said you can install this on a t above your trap arm or weir or somewhere above that

Worked to stop gurgling sound in bathroom when the toilet was flushed

Easy install. It has stopped the gurgling sound in the sink and tub when the toilet is flushed. It was mounted under the bathroom sink inside a cabinet. You can hear air being drawn into it but only when the doors on the cabinet are open. I will post if it fails in the near future.

Replumbing and old house can lead to potentially dead ends. Had a problem replumbing wash room for air vent. Came across this device on internet. Works great. I added an air vent in wall to allow air from washroom to enter vent.
