Ordered for a gift and thought it was wooden. I did not see anywhere where it said it was but I also did not see anywhere where is said it was plastic. It is still very nice but just not what I expected and what I planned on giving as a gift.

Was not impressed with this little jewlery box. My 5 year old picked this one out after looking on Amazon with me. She was soo excited to get it. I hid my dissatisfaction from her since she's 5 and was happy. I knew it was plastic and that didn't bother me at all. It came with different colored screws on the front and looked terrible. It looked like some of the screws were rusted and some were like shiny new. The stark contrast in these screws in the front of the box is what made it look super cheap and trashy. If the screws were in the back or inside I could have cared less. But that's the first and only thing that stands out when looking at the jewlery box. The little part that holds necklaces was very short and all of hers fell off the holder. For the price not worth it.

We purchased this for our granddaughters 8th birthday. She loves it! It looks pretty well made for the money spent.

I have to admit I made a mistake in buying this jewelry box because I did not realize it was plastic. I thought it was wood like a similar jewelry box I bought from the same company. I figured it would be okay though because it is for a 6 year old girl but while the box is very cute and girly, it is just not well made. The main issue for me is the that the lid does not shut tight which causes the music to start playing when you so much as bump the table the jewelry box is sitting on. There is a nice magnetic closure on the door that opens for the necklace compartment and they easily could have put something similar on the lid but it just shuts lightly with the hinge and does not latch so the music constantly comes on when you don't want it to. I also don't like that you can see the screws on the drawers and that the top drawer is a false drawer. You can store things in the compartment when you open the lid but they didn't make it a functioning drawer which just seems like a simple addition they could have made. Overall its a very pretty design but there are some small things that would have made a big difference that they just didn't pay attention to, and compared to the wooden version, this just does not measure up.

I like the jewelry box I just thought it would be made of wood but my mistake I guess

My 9 year old daughter had just got her ears pierced and wanted a jewelry box to put all her new earrings in for her birthday. I started to get her a more "grown up" one that held more but saw this and got it instead. I'm glad I did. She LOVES it. She said it is just how she pictured it would be. I agree with other reviews that it is disappointing that it is plastic and my daughter has trouble with the drawers sometimes. But glad I chose it.

I was surprised that this was made out of plastic, when my search criteria was for wood. I guess I missed those comments in the reviews. However, this IS for a 4 yr old with a little bit more mature look to it, so it will work...just more money than I feel was warranted for a plastic jewelry box.

Expected better quality for the price.

This was very expensive for a plastic not so well made jewelry box for a little girl. Very disappointed, as it looks cheap, and music box sounds cheap.
