The Standard for Flavorful Char Siu
I grew up on Noh Char Siu seasoning and it's been a favorite on pork for over 40 years. I like to use it on pork butt. I cut it into thick slices, leaving the fat on. I ignore the directions to add water and instead place the pork strips and in a gallon freezer bag and dump the seasoning on top. I close up the bag and then knead it into the meat. Let it sit in the fridge for at couple of hour, up to a full day. The longer it marinates, the better. I just come back to the fridge every couple of hours, and turn the meat from the outside and move the meat around in the bag to make sure that all the meat gets well coated and soaks up the flavors. Then I either grill or broil on high, turning every 7 minutes or so until it's done. The fat will pick up a nice char and the seasoning will get thick and sticky. When it's done through, I'll put it all into a large serving bowl and slice up a few chunks at a time, returning them to the bowl as I go. This keeps the meat warm and tender. And it really doesn't need much else for serving. We typically eat it with rice and sliced cucumbers. The meat also works wonderfully in fried rice, wonton soup, and Vietnamese banh mi.These bags shipped four to a pack from the third party seller I ordered from, with fulfillment by Amazon. I used to be able to find it in Asian markets for about 99 cents a packet, but haven't been able to find them in stores for quite some time, so I stock up when I do find it. It is also available in bigger bags, which might be a good value, but if you are ordering from Amazon, make sure to check the bag size first.

Great way to make pork.
This 'barbeque' marinade is so easy. Just mix the powder with water, marinade overnight, and roast in the oven. It's typically served cold or room temp as great appetizer (with hot chinese mustard), or as a topping for a salad. These packets are tough to find in stores.

Tasty
We have used this marinade for years and it is excellent! I prefer to marinade the meat ( I like pork best) overnight in a Ziploc bag and poke it with a fork several times during that time to have the marinade penetrate better, which gives better flavor. We often cook it in the oven, but the best is always on a barbecue. I have to order this online, because we live in a rural area where it is not available in the store.

So Easy and So Delicious + Flavorful
I always buy this when we have bbqs with family or friends. Everyone loves, even my grandparents or the little picky eaters. Super easy to use, super yummy and flavorful. Ribs or chicken thighs are amazing. Get the large bag of it if you like the little packets.

Never Disappoints!
This is the exact sauce on Chinese ribs from authentic restaurants. This is what I grew up ordering from Season’s Kitchen in NY! Red, sweet/savory and absolutely delicious!
