Great Speaker : Has all functions & features one could ever ask for : Wish was more portable & bit louder / fuller sound
The All-Terrain Sound ( ATS ) Rugged Bluetooth Waterproof Personal Speakers are everything advertisement claims...This speaker has a lot going for it...This speaker has practically every feature a person can ask for and it looks very, very good : nice color accents, cool design, rugged exterior. Manly, yet ok for women too...While I've not work with the manufacture "FreshETech", they appear to be an up and coming reputable company, that's serious about quality, customer service and are eager and anxious to do whatever it takes ( ethically ) to be a success in product design, features, functionality and customer satisfaction...The All-Terrain speakers are " excellent " for those needing a " rugged " speaker that can handle the elements ( wet, sandy, dusty, dirty, rocky, etc...).The reason I emphasis Rugged is because they are a bit more bulkier and expensive than similar speakers its size that don't require environmental and weather protection.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I'll provide more details below; however, quick summary:I personally do not need a speaker as rugged as this. While I like design, functions, features, etc... It's a " bit "too large, less portable and not as loud as my JBL Clip. That's not to say the ATS isn't a great speaker, it's all aboutapplication and personal needs. It cost 1.5x more than my JBL clipIt's not as portable as my JBL Clip which can fit in my shirt pocketIt's not as loud, JBL Clip is noticably a tiny bit louder & fuller soundingHowever, if size isn't an issue and one needs a speaker that will bebashed & banged around, exposed to water, dust, sand, dirt, etc...Then the ATS is the way to go...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Hard to believe, but these speakers appear to be completely " splash proof ":a. as in you can drop them in water and they'll be okb. hang them in shower and it's ok for water to splash & spray on themc. one video shows them actually playing music while partially submergedWhile I've only had the speakers for a few days, it looks built to last and I feel confident that FreshETech would be there for me if I encountered any problems, why, because they immediately sent me an email after purchasing their speakers introducing themselves; what company ever does that nowadays...To see video demonstration and review of this product, go to youtube and search for the following two videos:All-Terrain Sound in water: Speaker in Water : ~47 seconds&"All Terrain Sound" ~ 26:11 minutes2nd video by a person who calls himself "The Greek Redneck". Good video. What I like about the speaker:1. It looks very, very good.2. It appears to be very rugged.3. The spring loaded clip is versatile and functional.d. Rubberized tire tread is raised so buttons are protected. No accidental pressing, bumping, etc...e. Individual buttons for each function: power ( on/off ), volume ( up/down ), skip ( back / foward ), pause/answer phone.f. Long battery life ~10hrs continuous playing & only 90 mins for full charge...I carry the JBL Clip or JBL Micro Wireless Portable Ultra-Portable with me practically everywhere, all the time because they are very portable, fit in my shirt pocket, they're loud and can connect to any non-bluetooth speaker to project sound even more.Features unique to each model:JBL Clip:1.5x less expensiveLouder & fuller soundCan use 2 Amp cell phone chargerSize : Fits in pocket, tablet / laptop sleeveCan extend bluetooth sound to non-bluetooth speakersHas attached built in cable that can be plugged into any non - bluetooth speaker ( house, car, etc... ) and sound coming out of JBL speaker can also be heard on whatever speakers the JBLs are connected to. This is a big plus for me as I have lots of legacy non-bluetooth speakers where I use this feature alot. Allows me to play & control music through phone, tablet yet not have to be tethered ( connected and next to non-bluetooth speakers ).Price isn't an issue if features above were present.ATS ( All Terrain Sound )Definitely the better choice if will be exposed to elements ( rain water, sand, dust, dirt ).Has individual control buttons so can navigate through your music remotelyHas longer batter life. JBL 5hrs : ATS 10-12 hours continuous playingCannot use 2 amp cell phone chargers, which is all I have since all my smartphones, tablets and host of other items use 2 amp charges, including JBL speakers...ATS Recommendations:Make speaker little bit louder.Make rubber tread thicker ( protrude / extend beyond edges ) so front and rear of speakers are recessed bit more for protection.Configure circuitry so it can use 2 amp cell phone chargers. Practically all smartphones, tablets, and PDAs use 2 amps because of bigger batteries.Miscellaneous:If I was going to place these speakers on ground, sand, dusty or dirty areas, I'd probably put them in small pouch to protect from scratches since your speaker is so beautiful... Or I'd make sure it's sitting on the tire tread as opposed to rear surface of speaker which is shiny and could be easily marred or scratched.Final Words:All said and done, All Terrain Sound speakers are Great.I'm not as active outdoors as I used to be so I'll hardly ever need the ruggedness that these speakers provide. However, I may just keep them for use in shower as I like having my music / lectures / audio books / etc... with me wherever I am.Best of success to FieldETech and all individuals who decide to get this speaker...

I <3 ALL-Terrain
I realize this is long, but there are so many things I want to touch on!Seriously, if you are on the fence about this, just do it. I did a lot of research on travel speakers and I am so happy I went with this one. The JBL's weren't going to hold up to abuse, the Divoom was good for the price but I know myself and I'd be upset I didn't just spend the extra money and get a superior product. LUCKILY, Amazon had been trying to get my to apply for their credit card for years and I got a huge cash back bonus making this almost free. I've received nothing but great correspondence from the FRESHeTECH team and I am happy to support a private business. After receiving my speaker, for funzies I compared it to the other speakers in stores. Unless you want to drop $200 on a travel speaker, you won't get anything better than this.I expected it to be really heavy and I was wrong. It's got a great feel too it, definitely doesn't weight you down to take it with you. So far, I've charged it one time and been on 2 bike rides, brought it outside while eating dinner or doing outdoor projects and the battery is still almost fully charged after 6 hours of use. Really nice touch that it shows the battery life next to the bluetooth symbol. Pairing was easy, although it will give preference to whatever device it previously paired with. When I switched phones I had to turn the bluetooth off on my previous phone to connect with my new one. Hasn't been a problem since. I have a pack under my bike seat so I couldn't place it there, but I hooked it on my water bottle holder (because I used a hydration pack) and also around my phone holder (light or handle bars would work too), the clip holds up well and I never worried it would fail. The sound is really good. Gets loud enough to hear but not be obnoxious to others around you. I listen to tech, pop, rock, etc and it handles all nicely. The bass is not lacking but understand this is a tiny speaker, not a car stereo. You have to be realistic with your expectations. (I do plan on doing a video review on YouTube soon so stay tuned for that!)Just so that you know I'm not an employee I will touch on the...not necessarily bad..but the things that could be improved even though they aren't a big deal. I wouldn't say you need a "beep" every time you hit the volume up or down, but I would like an indicator if I've maxed the volume, sound or light, just some signal. Definitely not a deal breaker. *Hint, if it's not getting louder, it's maxed* :) Maybe offer the orange in different colors. However, I work for a small manufacturer and understand that buying in bulk gets the best price so I completely understand if it's not cost effective and even though I'm a pink girl, the orange is just fine.Last, read your instructions! This is rugged but it's not indestructible. If you submerge it you could damage the speaker! (Pressure on the speaker is bad...)Truly, get this product. You are supporting a great company and getting an amazing value. I was concerned about going with an unknown brand but I'm so glad I took the risk and you will be too!

Tremendous sound and amazing speakerphone!
I bought the All Terrain Sound speaker b/c I wanted something that I could move from the shower to the car easily and would be durable enough to make frequent trips. The sound quality for my podcasts and my playlists was fantastic! Since my car is not equipped with bluetooth, the All Terrain Sound speaker was my replacement solution and the sound FILLED the vehicle. It has great midrange and bass for its size which was really impressive. From the shower to the car, the sound quality is impeccable! After using it for nearly 10 hours straight, there was still plenty of juice left, which was also a real pleasant surprise. In a world where the promise of long life batteries abound, the All Terrain actually delivers on the promise! I also found the clever latch very handy to move the speaker from my backpack to the car easily. The included suction cup made it easy to mount it on the upper portion of my windshield for calls, podcasts and music.Of course the other key test was using it as a speakerphone for phone calls in the car. I knew it was a HUGE improvement over my old speaker b/c virtually everyone remarked how much clearer I sounded to them! I was thrilled b/c it was a big enhancement over my previous business call quality and people were actually commenting on the clarity. That feature alone was enough to further prove that the speaker was well worth the price.Overall, I am VERY PLEASED with this device and I just wish I had bought it sooner! I would highly recommend this item to everyone who wants a durable Bluetooth speaker that can go "off road" and endure the elements (even if "the elements" consist of shower steam and splashes of water!) as well as perform with terrific sound quality and consistency. Hats off to the team at FRESHeTech on this item.

Works as described, weather testing soon!
Speaker is as described, but for the price the weight, bass Magnet is not as heavy as a similar product I have, but it is not weatherproof. Over all it does sync/pair easily and the range is good! next time I will better track the weight.

Worth it! Just get it.
Absolutely loved this! Sounded good, easy to use and great portability. Sadly it was stolen from me not long after I received it but I'm probably going to get another one eventually. Was quite pleased with my purchase.
