Works great! The adhesive was absolute trash but I didnt purchase to use the adhesive, the screw on application is why I purchased and it works great. I would say the screws are a tad longer than they need to be but it worked perfectly.

Been very happy with this style of phone holder. I needed something that doesn't block A/C vents (ac clip on mounts), no cup holder style and no stick on mounts as high heat and high humidity areas would just melt the adhesive. This is my second mount for another car. What I like best about these mounts is I can adjust the side tension enough to where I can easily remove my phone and slide it right back. Other mounts that are tightly tensioned I have to use both hands and sometimes the mounts move or twist and I have to readjust every time. These make it so simple. Great for ride share, delivery or even road trips when you have to make quick changes etc.

As a mobile service technician I spend countless hours in my van driving around town, I use maps a LOT and like to have my phone up pretty much any time I'm driving. I mounted this with screws and oriented it 'sideways' so my phone would be in landscape as I prefer maps this way. After 4 months the plastic around the main pivot began to crack and about 2 weeks after it began it failed entirely. It broke on the top portion of the hinge which is where more pressure would be applied due to the mount being sideways. I really enjoyed the rigid mounting of my phone and how positive of a grab it had, but I think you're best off using this mount vertically.

So far, this has been the best phone holder I have had. It holds securely and is adjustable to allow regular use, and in my case, it can adjust so that the camera looks out the windshield if you need to document something going on in front of you. It is held by adhesive and screws. I did not even try the adhesive as I did not mind putting a few holes in my dash once I was able to play with it a bit and realized it could hold not just my current phone, but most likely any phone I get in the future. So I made it permanent to avoid having it fall off. I havent seen an adhesive hold anything in any car after a summer of 110+ heat. This is a product update 2017: This still works the best, holds the phone snugly and has not failed in any way. However, remember it is the only unit I have tried where I put screws into the dash. So it is permanent unless I lave a few holes showing. I have tried 5 other cell phone holders, mostly the type that latch onto vents. They all fail or fall apart or break.

I had just purchased the iPhone 11 Pro Max phone along with the OtterBox SYMMETRY Clear case and was looking for a new car holder for my 2013 Honda Accord. I had previously had a car holder that used magnets and while it worked well I didn't want to put a piece of metal in the clear case. It took me a while to find a car holder that had an option of being held on with 3M Tape vs a dash or window suction (which I'm not a fan of). I was a bit worried because the description of this car holder has not been updated in years (iPhone 6, 7 & 8???) but I took a chance as it seemed fairly generic to whatever phone it would hold. I'm glad I did as it works great! I'm slightly concerned about durability as you have to push a side button to release it that makes a loud click, I'll update in a few months, but have not reason to believe it won't hold up well. I think they would sell a lot more of these if they just updated the title.

It mounts great, holds the phone great, and can be mounted in many different positions; however, the weak link is the thin piece that connects the arm to the holder. Mine snapped while riding down the road after using it twice (two different rides of around 250 miles total).

Very sturdy phone mount. Keeps even the biggest phones in place with no issues. There’s good peace of mind over speed bumps with no panic of my phone falling. The adhesive is insanely strong.

Adhesive gave out in like 4 months, horrible product

While I like these for their practical construction, we now had the second mount break at the same spot in a little over a year. There clearly is a fault in the design or the material. Buyer beware.

The device works much better than mounts affixed with a suction cup. It is very sturdy. However, I have two issues with it. If the device is mounted vertically, the rotating part attached to the mounting bracket and the rotating part attached to the phone are in the same plane, so one axis of rotation is lost. The second is the foot blocks the phone's speaker - a method of lifting the phone slightly is needed. Also, if there is no phone mounted, it does tend to rattle a lot. The clamping jaws must be closed. Ironiclly, on the day I submitted this review, the device fell off the dash - after three weeks...

What a great product. Very good quality and amazing design. Works better than I had hoped.
