Could you use these to play volleyball in the pool or are they too heavy?

Yes they are too heavy with the water in them to use as regular volleyballs. My son and I came up with a reverse volleyball game to play with this ball - use a net lowered to water level or a hose stretched across the pool just below water level, then use volleyball-type rules but under water
