Mine has gotten intermittent use since 2017. I just looked inside and cleaned out the dust and dirt. I hooked it up to a dimmer and it seems to work great. My only criticism is that it's loud, but if you just need good air flow, it gets very quiet with the dimmer. Good job Vivosun

I picked this up for a grow tent setup and it has been doing exactly what I needed. The 130 CFM output is strong enough to create proper negative pressure in the tent, which you can tell immediately when the walls draw inward slightly at anything above the lowest speed setting. The stepless speed controller is one of the better features. You can dial airflow to precisely where you want it rather than jumping between fixed speeds. At the lower end of the range it runs quietly, and even at higher speeds the noise stays manageable. The EC motor runs noticeably smooth with no rattling or vibration coming through the housing or ducting. The ABS housing feels solid and the PBT blades have no flex or wobble to them. Setup was straightforward: slide it inline, secure the ducting on both ends, plug in the controller, done. The wide-voltage adapter is a thoughtful touch for anyone daisy-chaining equipment off different circuits. One thing worth noting: this does not include any mounting hardware or straps, so you will need to plan your install accordingly if you want it hung rather than resting in a duct opening. For grow tent use that is rarely an issue, but worth knowing if your setup requires a fixed mount. For the price, the combination of actual CFM output, quiet operation at lower speeds, and the smooth stepless controller makes this a strong pick for ventilation in a grow tent, basement, or anywhere you need reliable inline airflow without spending more on a smart-controller kit.

I put this in my greenhouse to vent out hot air in the summer. It does what it says it will do, but it is little noisier than i expected. This is not a problem in my greenhouse. however, I would be cautious if i was installing this anywhere near where someone expects to be sleeping. The fan noise might make it hard to fall/stay asleep. I would definitely buy this product again... for the correct location.

It’s in between 4 stars and 5! It works great as far as increasing the airflow. Which is what we needed. However it seems a bit loud. The fan speed increases the air circulation in the room that needed it the most. By the middle of the night we have to shut it off because the temp has gotten too cold.

Way too loud for my liking. I should have fired it up before installing it but all in all I let it run for like 7 mins before taking it out. Muuuch too loud for HVAC supply ducts. Probably fine for a grow tent but still loud.

Great fan and quality

I used it as a duct booster fan for our air conditioning system. I put two of these side by side inside the rectangular duct and the variable speed control allowed me to maximize the speed that I could without causing the pressure sensitive switch I purchased trigger on and off period because it's completely inside the duct It's actually pretty quiet And I'm pleased with the performance.

This works excellently as an exhaust ventilation fan. It is powerful enough that it pulls the tent walls in very well, so it definitely moves a good amount of air. It is not terribly quiet, but it is also very powerful, so that is the trade-off. There is no built-in timer, but I used it with a smart outlet when I wanted to give it a break now and then. Recently, I have had it running pretty much nonstop for the last few weeks with no issues. Overall, I would highly recommend it if you need a strong inline duct fan for ventilation.
