Great for small fish!
Honestly, a great little kit this. I put 10 Green neon Rasbora in this and they are thriving in this tank, I wouldn't put a bigger fish in this though but for small neons its great. The filter works good but I did modify it with some reusable sponge filter inside and some ceramic rings and it clears the water to crystal clear in under an hour. I love the tank and the white colour is really nice and modern looking, the pump runs quiet and I did add an air stone for extra O2 for the fish. The light is nice and bright too and is this nice modern cool white colour. Overall a really great little tank for small fish!

Decent setup once you understand it
UPDATE: So as I was waiting for the Stingray to arrive I visited a local aquatics shop and had a good discussion with the owner. He advised the stingray was too powerful for that size tank and the included filter was fine but to change the media in there. So I threw out the included carbon pad , bought a large mesh pad and cut it to size and also added bionood media , this is what really helps the beneficial bacteria to grow and help the tank go through the nitrogen cycle. So I have two stage filtration which is fine and doesn’t need changing monthly. The stingray was returned. Having done so all has been fine and the noise from the filter is less. The overflowing was due to the carbon pad just being a bit rubbish. Note: the tank should be filled so that it’s just over the filter spout, this allows a small wave to be created across the top causing water agitation which is good for the fish (oxygen wise) and prevents any growth on the top of the water. I have 6 White Cloud Mountain Minnows in there swimming happily. My 10yo is very happy and has enjoyed the early days of learning about fish keeping as have I. I think a big tank will be on the way within the year for the living room ! UPDATE: Had it 9 days - Saw other pics of this and realised I had not clipped the filter on to the lid - did so and lid now sits flush. Will be getting fish next week but am replacing the filter as am not convinced by it - it has become a little noisier and started seeping over the filter pad despite turning it off and letting it settle plus it is just using one pad so it's not 4 stage filtration- the refills have a green pad and white pad, when I enquired with the seller they said I only need the one for this but if you look at other models of this filter, they have more than one. I don't agree on having to buy a refill with a wasted pad - am getting a Stingray 5 instead and will be contacting seller to issue some sort of refund. The tank is lovely though. Arrived two days earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Very well packaged. 10yo birthday in a few weeks, wanted to have it setup ready for fish on the day. Size is just right for both child and the bedside chest of drawers, I just hope they're strong enough to keep holding it! Not sure if I've put the lid on correctly and whether the pump should clip onto the lid or tank, as I have done. Seems fine though. Pump has a low hum that doesn't seem to bother sleep. Looking forward to introducing fish and will update the review then. The gravel and ornaments were from a store. They really suit the tank.

Decent enough
I feel bad giving this five stars when I've changed most of it. The filter was too strong for my betta, and the lights didn't have any kind of timer function so I've removed the lid and filler. Both were fine if you want an all in one setup, but I'm a bit more picky. The tank itself is really well built and sealed, no leaks, scratches, or cracks. The filter itself would work well for short fin fish or good swimmers, despite what it says on the box though it's not a 5 stage filter, it has a single wool cartridge, so add some bio media if you're going to keep it. The lights would be strong enough for low light plants, or plastic if that's your preference, but they are old fashioned on/off lights. You'll either need a timer plug or to remember to turn them on and off, which is a pain if you want to avoid algae issues. I replaced it with a cheap 24/7 light, which means I removed the lid. Honestly though, even though I've changed most of it, for a beginner setup it's a good bundle (buy a heater though)

Good and bad
I don’t normally leave reviews but I thought in this case it would be good to. The tank itself is great, perfect size for kids, bigger than those starter tanks you see which makes them more stable but small enough for the corner of a bedroom. First problem is the filter. Pretty basic. Comes with one white filter pad and charcoal combo. I left these in but added ceramic cores to the large void in the back of the filter. No problems so far with that and all the fish have been very happy. The main problem seems to be with the lighting. On day one my daughter struggled to get the lights to turn on or off. I’ve had a bit of a tinker with it and just looks like poor electronics to me. Still working at the minute after two weeks but pretty unreliable as to whether these will hold out for long. Overall I would say this is a good product but needs a bit of extra work to make it a proper setup. And as for the lights, we will see.

Brilliant little tank!
I absolutely love this Tank! I didn’t want anything too big as I don’t have a lot of room. I have had the tank set up for a week now and have planted real plants. I am going to get 3 or 4 fish and a couple of shrimps this weekend. Excellent value for money! I purchased a heater separately so I could keep Tropical Fish.

Leaking from the bottom
Nice looking tank but got it half filled and noticed it was leaking at the bottom so cant be sealed very well. Gutted, was for my son to have his own shrimp tank.

Looks very smart
This is a lovely tank, I keep a Betta fish and many live plants, it is 6 gallon so not suitable for lots of fish, but ideal for a shrimp tank or for a Betta fish. Great lighting and filter is not to noisy to keep it in the bedroom.
