These are solid headphones and can be used for studio mixing. They are similar to Sony 7506s in body, design, and material but their eq is different. I use these for live recording dialog for video and film and live audio mixing contemporary worship. Absolutely. I’ve used them for 6+ years to edit audio and video in Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro. Replacement pads can be bought online. Great tone.

The cables are proprietary. The kit comes with a straight 3 foot cable and a long 10 foot cable. If you happen to break one, it's not expensive to get a replacement.
