Unpacked and set up without any issues. Weighed the reference weights, some gold items and even some sheets of paper. Pleased with operation of scale at this price point. Would recommend for all but critical use.

When I put the 500g reference weight in the middle of the scale, it read 500.00g. That is impressive accuracy right out of the box. Of course, I had to make sure the weight is right in the center, and that the scale is level. This scale has a bubble level which makes it easy to ensure that it is level. At this level of precision, if a scale is tilting at an angle it won’t read accurately. The bubble level is very useful. The display is nice looking with big numbers that are easy to read. The only minor negative that I noticed is that you have to plug this in to AC power, it doesn’t work with batteries, so it’s not very portable. Overall a very nice high precision scale.

The unit I purchased was the 10 Kg .1 gram resolution unit. When I first received this I found it would not work in my unusual application, where I was trying to monitor the weight of a tank of compressed gas as the gas was used up over a couple months. I contacted the manufacturer and they suggested how to change it's built in parameters. I followed the instructions, and it now does exactly what I hoped for. In my application, long term stability without re-zeroing the scale is important. And it performs well, drifting only a couple grams on a 7 Kgram object over days/weeks/months, in a home environment. For short term (hours) I can clearly see the object weight slowly dropping (at about 1.5 grams per hour). I use RS232 to a computer to log it. I am VERY pleased with the RUISHAN scale, I would definitely buy it again without hesitation.

Overall a heavy duty, precision lab duty scale. No matter what industry (spices, food, lab, jewelry, shipping), you can depend on this quality scale to give you accurate and consistent weight readings. Front legs are height adjustable and it has a built in bubble level in the front left corner. The LCD is bright with large clear display of numbers. Has a tare function, and can be switched from Grams, to Ounces, to Pounds with a few clicks. Can be hooked up to a printer via DB9 serial connection. This version includes a 500g tare weight and grounded 3 prong power cord. Item as described and exceeded my expectations.

I like mine very much. It's the best one I've owned. Highly recommend it.
